Omg, I saw you say your bun looks like Fresno and she really does! I mean I guess most Californian buns looks pretty similar, but still. 🤣 So cute!
Putting the vinyl tiles beneath the fleece seems like a great idea in case they pee on it. I was wondering what those people do if their buns just pee on the porous plywood… sounds like a nightmare.…[Read more]

If she seems to feel better with smaller portions more often, Id give that. Are you still giving the metoclopramide?
The sound she made couldve been pain from passing stools or urine. It is of course difficult to pinpoint.

Is she shedding right now? Sometimes pieces of fur end up down there, and since they’re so fine, it’s hard to see them and takes a while for a rabbit to get it out. Also, is it possible they are half-binkys? It’s a small gesture of happiness or general energy.

With my two co-habitating but not-bonded rabbits, I found stress bonding to not be the best because they both handled stress differently. I think the general idea is, when stressed, rabbits would want to go to each other for a bit of security. In my pair, I found one habituated very well to stress so they’d be fine after a minute and the other…[Read more]

Nora would love to be friends with Quin, she lays next to her with the grids separating them and sometimes Quincy will lay next to her too, other times she’ll bite her. Nora doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and I’ve been wanting to get her a friend for a while now. I’m so glad Fresno came along and ended up being a little well-behaved gentlem…[Read more]

Hi Everyone!
So my Netherland Dwarf recently started to shake her ears/head. I know that those are usually signs of ear mites or an ear infection, but I can’t see any of those symptoms in her ears other than the shaking. It started a few days ago, when I noticed that she was shaking her head a lot more often, and would occasionally stop to itch…[Read more]

Hi Bam, Yes it sounds the same then the cornflour as your corn starch as it’s a thickening agent. I will do that remove the salt lick which she does seem to overly like and put it back only when I’m in the room but not throughout the night. I’ve just watched her go for a poop and she made the quietest of moans if I’d been the other side of the roo…[Read more]

Hi!
My bunny jack loves to jump on my bed, which was fine until he started to pee on it. I could keep him off during the day but at night since he is free roam he would hop up to sleep with me and would also mark his territory. I had to wash my sheets every day for a week. I tried to make a kind of blockade thing with a sheet and some chairs to…[Read more]

Thank you so much @HipHopBunny and @DanaNM !
With stressing, some of the stuff I’ve seen people suggesting seem weird to me. I get using the vacuum and car rides, those, are things they need to get used to anyways, but shaking them around and stuff seems mean :(.
I’ll check out the link, thanks!

Sounds to me like they weren’t fully bonded, which can happen when you have young rabbits together. Humping is used to show dominance, so it sounds to me like they’re trying to sort out who’s boss. I’d say restart the bonding process from the beginning.
Face humping can be quite dangerous, as the bottom bun could have trouble breathing, or coul…[Read more]

Cornstarch is pure starch made from corn. Potato starch will work equally well. It is a fine white powder that is used as a thickener in food. We call it potato flour here.
Normally buns shouldn’t have salt licks because they don’t need them. A too high intake of salt causes poisoning in rabbits as well as in humans and dogs. I would only let her…[Read more]

Hello all,
I have two 8 month old holland lop buns, both female. They were both spayed on the same day at the end of July. A few weeks before the spay, Rae started humping Stella. She would hump her from behind and from the front, which I know is bad. Stella was not a fan and would then chase Rae around and that was really it. They were spayed…[Read more]

OOooh that one looks amazing! It looks like they used little shelving brackets to support the plywood and attach it to the cube walls?
My upper condo levels are plywood with vinyl tiles (and fleece clamped on top with binder clips). I use wooden dowels to support them.

My condo is pretty ugly by pintrest standards but the bunnies like it. 🙂

Awww that looks to be going so positively!
It is possible Fresno could be the peace keeper in a trio… but if the girls hate each other it might be better to find her a different mate. Maybe try Fresno with her and see how they are? If she hates him then that’s an easy decision?
I’m struggling with my own trio currently so I don’t have too many…[Read more]

Oh, that’s too bad. 🙁 She still has you though, so she isn’t alone! 😉
Fresno and Nora sound like a very promising match, so I’ve got my money on you having an easy bond! 😉 Maybe after their bond is solid, and has been established for a couple of months or so, you could try a bonding session again?
Have you heard of the stunt double? It is…[Read more]
