Ahhh thanks for all the nice comments guys! They still kill me with cuteness every single day. Unfortunately Fresno is very mean to Quincy and acts like a completely different bun around her… like almost kind of malicious. It seems a trio bond is completely out of the question much to my dismay.

Hello!
Yup @DanaNM all my buns have been on a nebuliser at some point or other in their lives.
Peep is on one permanently – he suffered a very bad pseudomonas infection that has left him with chronic nasal discharge ( looks like inflammation of his turbinate)
He is permanently on metacam (oral) and f10 sterilization fluid (nebuliser)I use on…[Read more]

If your other bunny didn’t have respiratory symptoms, I doubt it was related. It can be so hard dealing with chronic conditions, there are so many “what ifs” and unknowns. I don’t have any personal experience with nebulizers, but I know some members have.
Hang in there, as long as she is eating, pooping, and generally behaving normally then I…[Read more]

We are on day 5 of doxycyclin and Charlie had a sneezing fit blowing thick runny mucus out of her nose. She kept sneezing and I was trying to catch the mucus as she sneezed and it came out for her. She seemed better for a couple days. My husband is now saying its just allergies because the vet told us a couple weeks ago when we thought she was…[Read more]

Thank you so much for letting me know all this, I really appreciate it!!
I’m so so stressed about taking good care of her. She on the other hand could care less and is acting like nothing is wrong and making it a point to make taking care of her tough, she’s the worst patient😆

OMG, LOL!
Sorry, autocorrect. Yes, you should probably check his tail too, just in case.

Plain Neosporin (i.e. no pain reliever added) is safe to use. The antibiotic probably isn’t necessary, but I imagine in won’t hurt. Other options would be things like Bag Balm or plain diaper rash cream (i.e. no zinc, etc. added).

In general, it’s good for any new buns to be confined to their pen for a few days at least to help them get organized with their litter box habits and feel more at home. Walter will benefit from having a space that’s his and that he feels safe in, so try not to hover. A hide will also help. He might not show any interest in coming out right…[Read more]

Hi all, we are new to the bunny world and looking for some advice.
Two days ago we picked up two Giant French Lop Bunnies, Walter and Lillian.
Lillian is the most confident animal I have ever met, she is only 9 weeks old but tearing around the house at every opportunity, jumping all over us and thoroughly enjoying a scratch behind the…[Read more]

They are like the metal material center of a twisty tie.
When I was doing my research on bunny spay, anything I saw about stitches definitely wasn’t much about metal! I took her to a place in VA, maybe certain states or county’s use certain stitchings more I don’t know, I just wish they didn’t use this kind. There probably wouldn’t have been too…[Read more]

Yeah I was thinking that too. I don’t know how common these kind of stitches are, but I’ve personally never seen them used. I imagine they’re somewhat uncomfortable. 🙁

That makes sense yes! I may only try that if it I see that she’s starting to pull on it even more. I’m going to watch her like a hawk today.
It sucks they use metal stitches, there had to have been something less annoying and pokey they could’ve used. I saw one day I think they moved around a bit and one end was poking at her because started…[Read more]
