Omg, Zee is 12?! 🤯
I’m sorry about her ankle & hocks. It’s a treasure to have a bun with us so long but it certainly rarely comes without some challenges for them & their humans. She looks completely adorable. Does she generally leave the bootie once it’s on?
For litterbox, I’d look to repurpose another item (like you’ve done with sheet pan…[Read more]

Howdy everyone. Zee is now 12 years old come Feb. She recently got a broken ankle and is having a hard time hopping around so I took out her litter box and replaced it with a sheet pan. I previously had a low-lipped litter box for her, but it still requires her to jump inside it. I am trying to find one that is more flush with the ground and am…[Read more]

Hello everyone,
So… After 3 weeks of treatment with the Panacur and Milo finishing up the Baytril just a few nights ago ( The previous bottle managed to last me this long thankfully)…. I’ve really not seen that much of an improvement. I had two other family members look at the left side of his cheek and they both agreed his left cheek looks…[Read more]

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic Pinky binky!!! in the forum THE LOUNGE 5 years, 9 months ago
yay for binkies! Dorian is a pretty lazy bun, despite being under a 2 years old, and not much into things that involve actually leaving the ground… so a full binky is pretty rare. He does do little half-binkies though, not quite daily, but if something makes him happy (outside time, everyones in the same room with him, new toy, etc.).

I can’t recall the name of the brand I buy, but I just went to a local hay and feed type store and asked for pine pellet/horse stall pellets. It’s a nice big bag for about $6 USD.

Thank you for the info about nebulizing. We are back to vet this afternoon. Charlie was sitting by me on couch and sneezed out a bunch of nasty stuff.

Not sure about specific brands, but if you can find a hay and feed shop, they tend to carry horse stall pellets. Otherwise hardware stores will sell wood stove pellets, which are the same thing and safe as long as they don’t have any accelerant or additives.

I’m so sorry for your loss, that is so heartbreaking. 🙁
It is normal to second guess and feel guilt, but please try not to. I would have done the same thing in your situation. If you hadn’t taken her to the vet and she had passed you would have felt even worse. It’s also hard to know whether some underlying issue may have interacted with the…[Read more]

I got mine from TSC. I think Toronto would have a TSC? I use these:

They work well for odour, the buns like them, and the bag lasts a while.

I’m slowly making the switch from carefresh pet bedding to pine pellets after much research however I’m trying to figure out which brands are safe and effective. If anyone has recommend brands or places to purchase them please let me know! ( I’m located downtown Toronto )

That’s true, it is a good sign!
I’ve been letting her out longer now that we are 3 days out from having her stitches removed and the vet said the incision just looked irritated from her bothering it, and she won’t stop doing binkies and zoomies😆So she’s definitely ok now, and quite happy she doesn’t have to lie around and heal. -

Oh, I am so sorry! 😥
Please don’t feel guilty, anyone would crack under that pressure! You did so much more than any of us here could have done, and I’m sure Polly agrees. 🙂

My poor bunny Polly Oliver died last week, and I’m still having a hard time processing it. I’m feeling so much guilt. She was only three and a half years old, and she had just had a yearly physical plus a full bloodwork panel (just a baseline that we hoped to have for when she was an old bunny) that made her seem perfectly healthy. I raised he…[Read more]
