I found out that they’re not real Tespo parts, but still very good. One thing though – the bars might be a little too close so maybe they don’t see each other too well through even one layer of it. The usual scene was that they both sniff on the bottom of the fence, then Pi gets frightened or something and he lunges at the fence. I think he even…[Read more]

I ditto DanaNM as they look like Mushy cecotrope stains, but let us know what your vet says.

Hi Hotot! Welcome. Adorable bunny pic! He looks like he might be a mix of Netherland, Hotat and Rhilander. Rhinalanders though are usually larger, but the strip down his back makes me think of the typical Rhilander markings.
Thanks for the ruler reference as that is helpful to show how tiny this handsome lil’ bunny is. I understand your c…[Read more]

Hello bunny people,
Someone dumped five young rabbits. They look like a mix of dwarf Hotot or Netherland—what do you think he is? Two look like maybe Dutch. I kept two females and one male. The male is the smallest of all, very delicate. He almost died of heart attack when we rescued him. Since then he’s been adjusting well. But he is so…[Read more]

Numbers have gotten slightly more manageable since I posted this thankfully, but there is always an ebb and flow!

That’s wonderful! Thank you for the update, I’m glad it turned out to be nothing serious.

Alexmack2016 replied to the topic Lump behind nipple, help! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 6 months ago
No cancer! It was an inflamed duct, the vet was able to express all the fluid and the lump is gone. She said it’s not a common issue but it can happen even if she’s never had babies or lactated before. I’m so relieved!

Yes, chicken wire would work. I agree it will need some kind of structure though. Personally, I like the rectangular grid mesh fencing better. It’s more sturdy and the openings are smaller.

I agree, she looks noticeably thinner. I would have the vet check her teeth and do blood work. They may also want a poop sample to test for internal parasites.

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of response, it’s been a busy couple of days with work and snow storms! Lol
Anyway, they are settling in just fine, I think I was just being overly nervous haha. They are eating and drinking normally, the only thing I have noticed is that Finnegan’s decided he can poop everywhere right now, but I assume that will calm…[Read more]

He did handle it pretty well, I let him stay at the vet till he was eating, which was a couple of days.
He was then on Chloramphenicol for a couple of weeks.

DanaNM replied to the topic Need ideas for a temporary enclosure in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 6 months ago
That should work, you might want to have some sort of structure to create a frame though, as chicken wire can be pretty floppy. I also have heard of baby bunnies fitting through 1 inch mesh, so you might want to go a mesh size down if your bun is small!
There’s some examples of housing made with chicken wire in this section:…[Read more]

Sidthebunny replied to the topic My bun was noisy breathing? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 6 months ago
@Hazel hi! I totally agree with you! After some research I did find this out and I kept my bun inside for a week. It’s now 11 degrees Celsius outside and around 13 in the garage, so I decided to move him back in the garage, as it’s more comfortable for him now. The plan for the future is to convert the garage into a playroom with better ins…[Read more]
