        Hi fluffy friends,

I volunteer with BUNS (Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter) in Santa Barbara, CA (https://bunssb.org/), and we are currently at capacity in the shelter with 84 rabbits and more babies in foster care. Even in normal times this would be a lot of rabbits, but with dealing with Covid (running on a skeleton staff) and RHDV quarantining it is a lot for the shelter to handle. We have so many wonderful rabbits and would love to find adopters or fosters for them. We have been doing phone and video calls to discuss the adoption process and available rabbits, and appointments to meet rabbits once an adoption application is approved. The shelter is outdoors and follows all covid safety protocols (distancing, mask-wearing, etc.).

All adopters and fosters would fill out an application and chat with one of our volunteers. If you or anyone you know in the central coast/ southern CA area is looking to add a bun or two to your household, please check out BUNS! Adoptions are normally restricted to within the county but exceptions have been made in cases where rabbit will be going to a very good home.

You can see available bunnies on Petfinder (search in the Santa Barbara area). All rabbits are vaccinated for RHDV2, microchipped, and neutered/spayed. If you can’t adopt but still would like to help, here is the link to donate : https://bunssb.org/donate

        Thanks! <3

            Awww thanks 🙂

Numbers have gotten slightly more manageable since I posted this thankfully, but there is always an ebb and flow!
