Yes, those clips with Bean are adorable! I also learned the gas pain massage from Amy Sedaris’ videos.

HRS and Binky Bunny are both valid sites. I completely support indoor housing for rabbits as well as spaying and neutering — it comes with so many benefits. I think you should spay the rabbits and then bond them once hormones subside. The breeder’s advice to bond two unspayed does just shows that his thoughts aren’t exactly correct, or anywhere n…[Read more]

Hi everyone, moderator here 🙂
I believe we used to have location info as part of the profile, but that disappeared when we did the site update. I will inquire about that.
As much as I like the idea of folks connecting to help each other out, we do have a forum rule against advertising, and promoting sitting services gets pretty close to that…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Weird Bald Spot in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 4 months ago
Bald spots like that can happen during heavy molts. The skin looks healthy to me, so it looks like just normal (but heavy) molting.
I would maybe be a little more gentle with the hairbuster though, just to make sure you don’t scratch any areas that are somewhat bald. Hand plucking or using a lint roller can be more gentle on their skin.

Hello everyone!
My rabbit is currently going through his first major shed and he’s losing fur EVERYWHERE. I’ve been grooming him constantly with the hairbuster. I don’t know if I’m being heavy-handed (I’ll pull the comb through and it’s pulling at his skin) or if he’s going through something else. I was grooming him today and noticed he had a…[Read more]

The vet said that because the CT showed a minor dental disease, some rabbits are very sensitive to any little thing and that might be his case. We are going forward with his surgery to trim his teeth and remove the abscess he has on his cheek. He going to be there over night and tomorrow they will do the surgery.
The vet mentioned that it may be…[Read more]

Hi guys, sorry for the late response! Thanks for all the info. Her health’s all good. I have since switched their water bottle to a water bowl and more or less as soon as I did the behaviour stopped. After discussions with a few people and a vet, I narrowed it down to the fact she wasn’t getting a sufficient amount of water and she was licking any…[Read more]

Hi guys,
could anyone please give me an idea of what’s going on? I have a spayed doe and a neutered buck and they’ve been bonded for nearly 2 years. They often go through periods even now of humping. It’s just part of their relationships hahah. My question is i have noticed that sometimes ginger (male) will freeze and fall off, similar to how a…[Read more]

I have not left mine except a few days when I first got one. They didn’t follow the instructions and although it wasn’t anything health threatening for a few days I’m scared to leave them again. I live in Cincinnati, Oh. If any admin sees this and can think of a way to connect people that would be a great use of this community. Even putting…[Read more]

Oh wow I don’t leave often but if I did and lived near you I would hire you! It really scares me to think about leaving town and having my rabbits in the care of someone who isn’t familiar with their unique needs. Because of your age I would definitely have your parents help you screen potential clients before giving them your address or anything!

Hi, I wish you lived by me! I need a bunny sitter. I wonder if this website could somehow connect local people to local resources. I’d definitely also bunny sit for someone.

DanaNM replied to the topic Refuses to Eat New Pellets in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 4 months ago
Does he eat his hay ok? Since he might not be getting quite enough from his pellets at the moment, can you supplement alfalfa hay with his timothy (if you aren’t already)?
If you can get the other pellet and they look OK (for young buns, and not with museli type ingredients), it would be easiest to just feed those, at least for a little while.…[Read more]

OMG! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels this way about rabbit YouTube channels. I did a lot of research before I got Finn (my first bunny!), but I’m going to wait until I have A LOT more hands-on experience to start talking about rabbit care. In the mean time, if I start one before then, I will probably film videos like product unboxing,…[Read more]

I have the same plastic mesh for a litter screen as Wick, I really like them. They’re super easy to cut to the right shape and I think they might be easier on their feet than metal screens (to be fair though, I don’t have any personal experience with metal screens).
