Don’t fret, all hope is not lost! These things can happen, it’s amazing how high bunnies can jump when there is another bunny in their territory! And fighting in non-neutral space doesn’t mean they will fight in neutral.
I would prob do a couple more weeks of pre-bonding just to let things calm down. Then when you introduce them in neutra…[Read more]

I definitely agree with neutering if you haven’t already. That said, my 5 year old bunny is litter trained and was neutered for well over 4 years. For some unknown reason he also loves to pee outside of his litter box occasionally. While most of the time he uses the litter, he will do what I call a spite pee. if I’m not paying him the amount of…[Read more]

Excessive drinking and peeing can have many causes, but it’s always an observandum and should be investigated by a vet.
Rabbits that eat mainly dry food will drink more than rabbits that eat fresh greens.
A good start is to try and measure her water consumption per 24 hours.

Hi everyone (or everbun)!
I just got a medium sized bunny to bond my with my lionhead (if anyone knows what breed/mix she is let me know!) and I have a question about water intake. This girl drinks a TON of water. Like so much that I had to get a water dispenser to keep her bowl full. My lionhead has never been a huge water drinker so I have to…[Read more]

LittleLionMan replied to the topic Does it take this long to bond with a rabbit? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 3 months ago
This is a few months old so maybe you’ve had more success since, but I figure I’d answer anyway!
When you say you sit with her while she eats, do you mean on the floor? I find the best way to get to know a bunny is to sit on the floor with them. We’re scary huge beings that tower over their little bodies. I would be scared of us too! I just got …[Read more]

I made an account to ask a question in the behavior forum. The moment I click on that forum your website signs me out. I click sign in, it signs me in, sends me to the main page. I click again on behavior forum. It signs me out. Every time.
Your website needs some maintenance.

Hello friends!
This is going to be long, so I apologize in advance…
I have a 7 month old rabbit that I’ve had since 5 weeks. We have a fairly tight bond as I don’t work regularly so I am home with him often. I am a part time caregiver, so he is only alone for around 6 days out of the month, otherwise he has constant company with eith…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic catnip in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 3 months ago
Yep, bunnies are not affected by catnip so a catnip spray would be pointless in that regard. The herbal scent may encourage them to chew on something. However, I agree with Prince Dorian that catnip oil may not be a good idea since rabbits can be sensitive to (and even harmed by) essential oils. I guess it would depend on whether or not the oil…[Read more]

I’ve slowly introduced my new male bunny (6 weeks) to my female rabbit (10 months) back in February. At first they didn’t care about each other and flash forward weeks later they are eating together, lounging together, etc. The male bunny even follows the female around a lot, although never mounting her or anything like that. I’ve caught both…[Read more]

You could maybe include him in a photo especially if you are getting ready at home? Or maybe engagement photo you could include in the invite or have displayed on a table? Or if you rather something more personal a locket with him in it as jewelry? I like the cake topper idea too.
Oh and having checked with my Dorian, my bun… he suggested you…[Read more]

Been there, done that and it wasn’t even my rabbit! But my sis and kids got to enjoy the litter and found them good homes.
You might consider getting them altered before placement? Perhaps a shelter or rabbit rescue friendly vet would get you a good price.

Congrats on your new bun.
For some reason, the pics won’t show for me, dang.
I once knew two Pugs, a black and a fawn named Spud and Tater!

no, I did give my bun a couple stuffed animals, he prefers the elephant to the rabbit, so I could see a bun liking it. Wonder if they will find the heart beat calming or not.

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic catnip in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 3 months ago
The plant is pretty much harmless to them as it’s in the mint family which the generally tolerate. I would not recommend the spray especially since that may have preservatives and such that could not be good for your bun. Also they won’t get a mild high from it like a cat would, so there is no point. I just don’t think they have the right…[Read more]

There were cases in my area a year ago, but I haven’t heard of an update. I also discovered last night that he has ear mites, so now interaction is gonna be impossible. I’m just doing the best I can and keeping him safe for two weeks.
