First of all I love that his name is Kevin! Typically rabbits sprawl out when they’re relaxed, feel safe, and are happy! Every bun is different, just like all people are diff. It sounds like Kevin is pretty cam snd confident in his space, which a good thing. In my nonprofessional opinion, I wouldn’t be nervous unless he was displaying signs of ill…[Read more]

Sometimes they will get them themselves or will pull a bit to help disentangle them a bit. I have a lionhead who gets mats around his tush and back of his neck. Neck is super easy and more often than not I can get them with my fingers or a quick snip.  The tush is more difficult for me.  I’ve found nail scissors to be prime because they make lit…[Read more]

*Double sigh* Masha used to drag her litter box across the floor, and go potty right where the litter box used to be 😂

I cannot agree more with cleaning!

Yes Spud, you show ’em! 🐰❤️

Tater has a thing for throwing his litter box. In his pen I have a big wooden thing that holds his litter box and hay so he can’t throw it there. I absolutely hate that cage. Like HATE it. It was okay when he was a baby and couldn’t really reach anything. But it keeps him from my cat while she figures out they don’t want to play with her. I cannot…[Read more]

There should be no problem doing it at 9 months. You can pack some pellets and hay for him to have at the vet. They typically provide water… at least my vet does. Make sure he gets pain meds afterward. Sometimes vets don’t think they need it. Boys tend to bounce back pretty fast, but it’s always a good idea to have pain meds in case he needs them.

I think bunnies are more adaptable than people think they are. If we go on vacation, my parents come at times convenient for them. I don’t recall any complaints and have never had issues transitioning back to the normal routine when we return.

my female bunnies are seven years old. By the time I found out that it was a good idea to s spade them. They are already too old. They are bonded amazingly. Pepper is nesting today. I am glad it’s not both of them. It makes a huge mess. I don’t let them free rome  on days like these. My bunnies haven’t heard each other. I know I can’t speak fo…[Read more]

I think you called it correctly after the fight, DanaNM. We just thought after Phil went into stasis, there was hope, as there was no apparent animosity. But I do think the bond is so damaged and the fear is so strong in Tony (not poor Phil, she loves Tony in her own way) that as you say, it’s not that it’s impossible, but is it worth it?

    We have…[Read more]

Hi! I’m also located in the GTA area and I was also looking for a cheaper option as it is very pricy lol! But I do recommend Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital located in Mississauga. I’m pretty sure the cost is around $340 for a neuter (checkup is free) not sure about the spay but I’m sure you can call them for more info!

Hey bunny owners! Willows neuter is about to come up and I am super nervous! His examination is 8 days away and then of course the neuter. I really hope everything goes well as they have spayed and neutered rabbits before and have experience with small animals. Anyways I just wanted to know that Willow is 9 months old and I just wanted to make…[Read more]

Hi, by the time we get to him hes hiding in one of his tunnels and continues to thump until I can talk him into being calm again. I cant see his posture but he will settle eventually. I have a very dim night light that I will try as he can still go into his box to sleep if he wants.

    Hi

    thanks again.
after being at the end of my tether I may take a break- but unfortunately there is a time constraint on how long I have till they have to be happily housed together.  I assumed 4 months would be long enough.
the area they are now in penned separately- in a month will be used for out of state guests.
The bunnies will then be…[Read more]
