Your welcome! He goes back to the vet today, right? I’m sure everything will turn out okay. Hopefully the medications should help! ♥

BunnyLass568 – Lol, yeah I noticed the white lop but I thought the other one looked much more like a bun! ♥
LBJ10 – I don’t think I see it… mmm.

Bam replied to the topic Cradling vs Trancing…? Very Anxious Owner! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 1 month ago
To clarify, this is not something you want to do with an adult rabbit unless it’s needed for medical reasons. Most if not all at-home procedures can and should be done without trancing.

Thanks for all the help so far! I have a quick question about humping. I see it every now and then between Nova and Pekoe, always Nova humping. I don’t see any other negative behaviors from them. They sleep cuddled up, insist on sharing one bowl at meal times even though there’s one for each of them, and won’t chase each other out of the litte…[Read more]

Thanks to everyone for their responses.
This is precisely it. Our first rabbit (Toast) was a bit cheeky originally, but we managed to train that out of her and for the last 18 months she’s been the perfect house rabbit. Roams wherever she wants, could be completely safe knowing she’s in any room of the house. However, our new male seems to find…[Read more]

Sonn replied to the topic Soil in Rabbit Dig Box? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 1 month ago
I use a clean dirt/sand/coco fiber mix in my buns dig box. I would never ever leave them alone with it. My vet said if it even looks like they are nibbling at it to take it away. Luckily both of my boys like to just dig as much out as possible out and roll around in it and that’s it. It also makes for a cool spot to nap in.

Persephone replied to the topic Re-bonding: Is it possible with aggressive behavior in one? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 1 month ago
It is when they’re on separate sides of the pen. Since it’s only Day 2, more time like this would be better right? Or do you think beginning some short dates would be helpful?
I have a family member bun-sitting for a day the first week of August so I’m thinking I’ll keep them in pre-bond until afterwards so the change in environment doesn’t…[Read more]

I see a bunny that is looking away from you. The drain is his tail.

Eh… I wouldn’t make a habit of it. But some people feel it is OK for the purposes of keeping the bunny still for something… particularly if they have a tendency to struggle otherwise. Lesser of two evils sort of thing.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Rabbit snuffles contagious? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 1 month ago
Highly unlikely. As Wick said, many rabbits are carriers and do not show symptoms.

I agree that the vet should be made aware. You want to make sure she doesn’t have a blockage.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Any advices on looking after indoor bunny in winter? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 1 month ago
Hmm… I’m going to guess that the temperature wasn’t the problem. Unless it was a very young bunny, of course. There may have been something else wrong with the bunny. If you feel it is a little chilly, then you can provide a house with hay or a blanket.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Suddenly picky bun won’t eat hay in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 1 month ago
If it was just the timothy hay, then I would say perhaps something is wrong with the hay. What you’re describing makes me think something is wrong. As Bam pointed out, teeth would be the number one suspect at this point.

Yes, I think driving would be less stressful.
