Update: I have rearranged (awhile ago I kinda forgot about this forum) and purchased a cat tree for my bunnies. They love it and Ricky hasn’t been climbing on my desk since I moved the crate and pull out my desk chair when I’m gone.

Thanks for the reply! Loki was nurtured beginning of April, he was born Aug 15 2020, partner has always been here but you may be right he used to like him but now if he hears him he runs and hides. No other bunnies. Would love another bunny, I have the space just don’t have anyone to help with the bonding.
his poop does not seem bigger but wil…[Read more]

We just bought an air purifier. We were planning to use it on the same floor that our bunny is on to help keep the air as clean as possible.
As long as we don’t use the ionization button is it safe?

Binxs_Mom started the topic GI Stasis in bursts? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 1 month ago
Hi Everyone,
My little boy Binx has had stasis before so I know not to chance it. I took him to the emergency vet the night before last when he wasn’t eating/pooping for about 6 hours. He started eating on his own at the vet and they sent me home with Metacam, some antacids and and appointment to trim what appears to be molar spurs. He was fi…[Read more]

How long ago was Loki neutered? If it was fairly recently, this could be just a transient thing.
Neutered rabbits can however poopmark, but it mostly occurs when there’s another rabbit nearby. I had two neutered rabbits that lived next to each other, separated by a gate that divided my apt. Both buns poopmarked alongside the gate, on their…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
My Loki has been Neutered but I had a friend come over and had approached him gently but in his room, next day their was poop all over the room,
then my partner had to work in their for a week, (usually works downstairs, bunny room has my computer in there and the main router) then he again would poop all around the chair he was…[Read more]

I’m going to be honest here, I pay my vet to do it and that’s always an option if you just can’t. I think I could use some of the techniques to do it myself on two of my rabbits but the third thrashes around if I pick him up and just kicks and thumps if I try to handle him in a way he doesn’t like on the floor, and a bunny burrito is too hard. So…[Read more]

We have the same issues with our two. One is a tad easier then the other. My husband usually holds them while I try and clip as fast as I can……….. that is the only way. I’ve watched all the videos too and can’t do it alone. I’ve also been suggested the table however I’m not convinced they won’t hop off either.
I usually give a treat after in h…[Read more] -

Either way they are getting used to each other’s scent, so I don’t think it makes a huge difference. It seems like it’d be easier just to swap the rabbits.

If your second rabbit is that young (inferred by your vet asking to wait until a particular age), it is actually more likely that the ‘bond’ you’re seeing is what is known as a “baby bond”. Young rabbits will get along very easily with other rabbits because there is an absence of hormones. Once they reach puberty, many baby bonds will dissolve…[Read more]

Hi Wick and Fable,
Thanks so much for the advice!!!!! 🙂 I think the pooing explanation is a good one!
The reason I thought they were bonded is because they have been together for many months now and I am at home 24/7 in the same room as them and we play all day together all day and evening and all they ever do is groom each other, sleep…[Read more]

I have I look at this owl store farm near me (they sell hay bales but only Timothy) I looked at tractor supply but they only have alfalfa mixed with orchard, timothy, or alfalfa. I also looked at another one ( can’t think of the name right now) which didn’t have any orchard hay bales. I don’t have any farm or feed stores otherwise then those.

I was leaning towards during switching the bunnies into each other cages, but if that won’t work than I could switch there litter boxes. Do you think switching the bunnies into each other cages or switching the litter boxes would be better.

They definitely have complex personalities lol my last bun took awhile to build trust but nothing like this. They are in a puppy pen so they have space.
I got the male bun thinking it would make her happier and help her personality come out. I think it maybe her personality is just aloof and not into people. She was rescued by the rescue I adopted…[Read more] - Load More
