    They are so adorable!!!

It has been so so hot. I accidentally left Spuds crate pan outside and it literally melted.

I only have a single picture so far because I hate my new camera. Lol. Tater and Spud on their last bonding session before moving in together.

I was honestly surprised at how fast they bonded. Especially with how jealous Tater can get. I thought just normal bonding would be rather quick but was prepared for a long bonding time over food, hay, and treats. I still have to give him treats first but they are sharing everything with no issues. For now they have a pen in my living room for the…[Read more]

Thanks.  We only had Wilma a short while, took her in when a client’s daughter moved out.

    She was a total sweetheart.

My Dad is home and doing well.

Hoping to have a few years, at least, with a break.  I try very hard to be a decent person.  Come on Karma!!!

I was also worried she might’ve had diabetes, but she’s not overweight and it seems diabetes in rabbits is quite rare. I sincerely hope she’s just bored or something and doesn’t have any kidney or other problems. Thank you!

I would try one at a time so you can narrow it down. Most lettuces are well tolerated, but if you think the Romain was causing a problem then try the leaf lettuce first.

I am also sorry for your loss of Bonny. May I ask if Bonny is the lop ear bun in your avatar? She looks very cute. Do you have any other rabbits? Tootoo was my first and only one so far. I miss her very much.

It’s been roughly 6 weeks since I’ve had my girls on a no-veg diet. Smokey hasn’t had any gas lately, so I’m thinking of beginning to slowly reintroduce the veggies back into their meals. I’m wondering if I should start with testing out the Red Leaf lettuce, as I do have some suspicions that the Romaine lettuce was giving her some of her issues.…[Read more]

My 8 year old cat was having the same problems a few months ago. After I took him to the vet, I found out that he had diabetes. So for the past few months I’ve been giving him insulin doses twice a day.

I don’t know if that’s what your bunny has, but I think that it’s worth mentioning the possibility to your vet when you see them.

    Wishing you…[Read more]

    I’m so sorry!!

The only thing I can think of right now is this quote from Abraham Lincoln: “It’s not the years in your life that count; it’s the life in your years.” I’m sure that you gave all who you’ve cared for that have crossed over many wonderful times together, filled with deep meaning. In the end, the only thing we can really do it hold…[Read more]

Agree with the above! Pine lumber in general is also safe compared to shavings because it’s one piece that would be used for a long time. I think the main issue with pine shavings is that you are constantly refreshing them, so the phenols (aromatic compounds) are continually released. Plus shavings have so much more surface area, etc.
