So lux is having go again I think 6 weeks later. She had a bed she laid in that she chewed open and maybe ate some of the fuzz. I called the vet and they said I can give her the same exact medicine and Metamucil I did last time that helped it pass,
difference this time is she’s eating little here and there and running around more. Last time she w…[Read more]

I agree with everything said above but I wanted to add that although it takes time for the rabbit to trust you, once they do it can be an extremely rewarding relationship for the human. I seriously giggle like a little kid when my bunnies flop or binky in front of me.
I got my girl from a situation where she was out in a hutch and wasn’t well…[Read more]

Thank you for asking! Wally is doing ok now but he had seemed ok so I tried some treats and he got runny cecotropes again. So we’re sticking to hay and romaine for a few more week before we try again.

I summarized the status of Cookie. Cookie had an eye infection 1 month ago and got better. 1 week ago it started as a white blob in his eye, then he got a lung infection.
Since the weather is very hot in Turkey, Cookie started using a fan for 1 month. Cookie loved his fan, he always slept in front of it. Do you think Cookie’s chest infection is…[Read more]

When my bun Vilde was new with me (I adopted him when he was almost 6 years old), I read aloud to him. I did it so he’d get used to my presence and voice, and so he’d feel he had company. I didnt try to interact all the time, because that could’ve been stressful for him.
I think it was very successful. Vilde started out in the rather small cage…[Read more]

Ironically Rabbit was great whem we were clipping her nails. But I cut her quick and couldn’t get it to stop bleeding soni was nervous to do it again. But I’ll just clip them weekly and just a small portion. The vet said thst it seems like its not worth the nail clips if she gets like this so we will just have her at home and do them at…[Read more]

Oh I totally get it! Different textures of some grass mats might also help! I think having a variety of different surfaces and textures is alsogood for their feet. 🙂

Thanks again! I should have tried harder to get pictures sooner, since keeping an eye made it harder than I thought to notice if anything changed.
I got some foam mats to replace some natural fiber rugs since I thought that would help, but after lots of $$ later realized the foam mats were different from my other ones, and too slick. So I put the…[Read more]

Ah, I was about to share this video that shows a really neat way to clicker train a bun to get them used to having their nails trimmed without restraint, but it’s not available anymore on youtube!
The basic idea is you slowly desensitize the bun to having their nails trimmed using clicker training. First you just touch the foot, click and treat.…[Read more]

Yeah it could just be normal for him, so I think taking regular photos for a couple months will help to know whether it’s gotten worse. Sometimes the low pile carpet can be a bit abrassive. I got these fleece puppy blankets recently that are super soft that I think helped Myra a lot!
