A rabbit doesn’t become overweight suddenly, so don’t get preoccupied with that worry right now!

What is your daily routine like with him? Sometimes I’ve noticed free-roam bunnies kind of settle into a routine and explore less. I’ve noticed with my own bunnies they are more active when they are penned for part of the day. Then when I let them out they run around and explore, chin everything, etc.
If his diet is OK (not too many treats, etc.)…[Read more]

He poops fine and eats up all the veggies, treats, hay, and pellets i offer! He isnt neutered yet (scheduled his appointment a couple days ago after a talk with the vet). I just don’t know if he’s supposed to be so lazy, I don’t want him to be overweight and definitely don’t want him to be bored.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Unbonded rabbit broke into other rabbits area and they’re fine? in the forum BONDING 5 years ago
I’m sorry to hear the bonding process hasn’t been smooth! That ends up being a pretty common experience, so I imagine seeing them do well without injury is such an odd site!
During bonding, unless it is an extremely difficult bond, there is usually a good mix of positive, negative, and neutral interactions. It is energy-exhaustive and dangerous…[Read more]

Hmmm, it could just be that he’s growing up and transitioning to more adult habits. Babies tend to be super snuggly but can change a bit as they mature. Are his eating and pooping all normal?
Is he neutered?

I think the plastic in carpeting should be OK as long as they don’t end up eating it.

In addition to all the recommended things above, right now my buns have been obsessed with the “snak shak” log (the large one) (BB doesn’t sell it, but major online pet stores do). It is this really hard compressed (rabbit safe) wood thing, and they will work on it for a few weeks before it’s gone. It’s saved my furniture from Cooper, who has tons…[Read more]

Sometimes things work out OK! I have heard of this happening before. 🙂
If you have time to keep supervising, then you could see how they do, and separate if things get tense.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Help! Rabbit ate some cereal. in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years ago
Agreed with @Bam. There is likely not enough stuff for it to be ‘toxic’ for your rabbit. There may be some symptoms of an upset tummy, but for a one-off consumption, pushing hay and encouraging hydration will help regulate it back to normal. Keep an eye on poop.
Give us an update if you can!

I doubt there’s enough cinnamon in 4 pieces of cereal to harm her. Eating lots of cinnamon would probably not be good, but a tiny amount wont harm.
Keep an eye on poop, serve her fresh greens dripping wet and maybe hand feed some hay to make her eat extra.

So my Starlight got into my applejacks cereal and ate about 4 pieces. Now on the ingredients it listed cinnamon. Is cinnamon toxic to rabbits? I feel awful that this happened. Its my fault for leaving my food unattended. I’m really worried.

I have 2 two year old rabbits (both spayed/neutered) who previously were both solo rabbits to me getting them. The bonding process has not been smooth in the least. Each time they’ve been around one another there lots of grunting, lunging and them trying to attack one another. Today I came home after being gone for three hours and my male s…[Read more]

Shmibunny replied to the topic Head tilt causing snoring when sleeping in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years ago
Depending what kind of positions he likes to sleep in, maybe some kind of pet bed might be to his liking?
My girl doesn’t so much sleep in her bed, but loves to sleep next to it and lick it, and sometimes rests her head or chin on the edge. My boy used to flop in the bed sidesways or rest his head or chin on the edge as well. The bed’s made for…[Read more]
