So the next day I did another 2 hour date in the same new area. Winter initiated a lot of stand offs. After 2 tries Harper groomed(?) her head. I don’t think there was any licking though, it looked kind of rough, like nipping her head? After another standoff, Harper ignored it and laid down. Then Harper turned and did the rough grooming again.  L…[Read more]

    That sounds like amazing progress!!

Not every groom request has to be met, often bonded bunnies will just end up cuddling when neither feels like grooming, so that’s really great!

It’s very normal for there to be bumps in the road. If it seemed very intense then I would go back to pre-bonding for a bit!

I know a few moderators have had experience with aggressive buns, going to alert them so we can get some more input.

I just wanted to reiterate that it’s important for them to have grass hay in actual hay form, not just in their pellets. Straight hay is important for the fiber it provides, as well as for the amount of time the rabbit spends chewing (good for the teeth and actually is enriching). I’ve heard the rule of thumb is a rabbit should spend around 4…[Read more]

Hmmm I dont know, wonder if it could be seasonal? Myra’s markings get lighter in the summer and dark again in the winter.

I’m very sorry that you lost your bun. I can’t say if it means he’s near you. He is of course close to your heart, but we cant know if rabbits have souls and if they come and visit us from beyond this world.

    It’s a lovely idea though. ❤

Its best to start with a smaller room or section of a room that you can bunny proof thoroughly. Electric cords should have cable covers. House plants should be placed out of reach. If the floors are slippery, they should have rugs or similar that provide traction. Place their litterbox where you think theyll want it but be prepared to move it if…[Read more]

He used to be free roam but after he got neutered ironically he started to chewing everything. Before that he didnt touch anything, not he tries to eat everything he sees. So we restricted him to a room with a cage but when were there he comes to other rooms with us.

We live together so its not like he doesnt know her. And everything was fine…[Read more]

No nothings really changed. And since we live together any soap or whatever would also apply to me. Its definitely new behavior, started maybe a month or two ago and its getting worse over time. He just runs at her feet full on sprinting whenever she’s around the area with his ears back looking pretty aggressive. He also nips her ankles and…[Read more]

    Hello,

I have 2 bunnies and I would love to start free Roaming them. They are litter trained and they are going to get spayed in the next couple of months.

Has anyone free roamed their bunnies when they haven’t been spayed or neutered?

What are some things I can do to start the process of free Roaming?

Revolution or Advantage are typically the go-to flea products for rabbits. And yes, you should have a vet advise you on dosage. If you’re in the US, you can’t buy Revolution over the counter anyway.

And I will repeat Wick’s PSA… do not use any product containing fipronil on rabbits. It is toxic to them.

At home treatment is not recommended since you want professional guidance on the correct dosage for your rabbit. Please see a rabbit experienced exotic vet: rabbit.org/vet-listings
