Gotcha…. yeah at 6 months I would consider this to be a “baby bond”, which is not typically a lasting bond.

They are 6 months old. They were very quiet last night, I’m a light sleeper and I’m just meters away so if a fight did start I’d wake up to intervene. They were both sleeping next to each other this morning. I did separate them when I went out but now I’m back I’ve put them back together.

How old are they?

I’m a bit concerned they are getting along because they are young and things may fall apart when puberty kicks in (can happen between 4 and 7 months in females).

Can you describe your housing set-up a bit? In general it’s best to have things arranged so that you don’t have to pick up your bun to let them out for exercise as most rabbits hate being picked up.

Yep, my buns sit like this too when they are about to eat a cecal or eating one. I always compare it to when I sleepily stumble to the toilet in the middle of the night 😆  LOL

So, with bond that I had that broke, I don’t think they were ever truly bonded to begin with. They rarely cuddled and never groomed each other.. so I think it was more of a tolerance that eventually gave out. In that case, one of my rabbits was injured to the point of needing sutures on her lip, so I opted not to try to re-bond them.
