Sorry, i dont know if that went through, so i can recap: I found this amazing new litter called carefresh, its available on amazon, and it’s only $10 so super affordable. It’s dust free, and stops litterbox smells away for at least 3 days.

I don’t see that brand on the list but according to the ranges on the site, the fat and protein are not in range for Adults for their Timothy Grass Pellets. Maybe there’s another brand that’s in “green” zone that may work for you?

So update/question. We go to a vet clinic that has bunny savy vets. The one we saw today was a new vet so I wanted to double check.
I was told that I should switch to Young rabbit pellets for my older buns and a little alfalfa . I am aware that it’s ok to give older buns alfalfa but… Young/junior pellets? I forgot to specifically ask why young…[Read more]

I accidentally replied to myself instead of you sorry about that my eyesight is really bad and I have an injury to my spine and it’s causing me a lot of difficulties with my fine motor skills and hand eye coordination so I apologize again.

I see and thanks I was just really curious about the Standlee Brand as it’s a bit more affordable then the Oxbow and the Science Selective brands I plan on using Oxbow Garden Select Young Rabbit pellets for my 3 rabbits I’ll gradually have to switch them over to it but I was curious more so on the Standlee Hay and there pellets I definitely would…[Read more]

Sorry, I have never used Standlee. There is a website that compared the nutritional contents of different brand; might be worth checking out.
I use Oxbow and Select Science pellets; I see these two used at rabbit rescues here.

I’m looking into different types of Dust Free bedding and litter that works great I prefer Paper Based as I have asthma and allergies and just super sensitive skin. I know pine pellets can be Dusty and can sometimes irritate my skin so I’m looking for non wood based bedding/ litter that works well at odor control and is dust free and safe .

I was just curious if anyone has used Oxbow and Standlee Brand Hay and Pellets? How do they compare? I’d love to know what brands of Pellets and Hay you recommend. I’m looking for more affordable yet good quality Hay and Pellets. I live in the USA in the Midwest Region.

I’m so sorry you lost Barney.
I dont think your vets sent him home to die. They treated the blockage, and once his intestines were working again, they released him.
This doesnt mean there was no connection between the blockage and his passing. I generally believe vets really want the best for their animal patients, but even assuming they’re only…[Read more]

I’m going to guess the hay that is currently available is a different cutting and it just tastes different. I agree with Wick. Try not the reinforce picky behavior.

I would give a little more time with a new bag and just leave it out there for her. While it’s important to eat hay, rabbits aren’t eating it 24/7 nor is it expected that they’ll eat it every waking moment either. Continuing to switch hays to appease her taste (which is much more attuned since rabbits have better senses in that department than we…[Read more]
