    Hi guys,

I’m new this website and found it upon searching google. We got our bunny about a year and half ago. He passed away two nights ago. He was sick a few weeks ago and they told us it was GI statis. He was off and on but then he seemed to have gotten better. But when I got home from work the other day he looked like he passed out in his cage and all the food was still there. I rushed him to the doctor literally in my hands I thought he was dead but there was some movement. We went to the emergency where they tried to do CPR and couldn’t save him. My husband and I were literally bawling. I mean bawling our eyes out. My husband accepted it and is doing better.. But I’m a complete mess. He was the sweetest, I mean sweetest rabbit on this planet. And I miss him just roaming around the house. I have to go to work and I really don’t even want to. My mind is all about him… I feel in sincere mourning. I know to a reg person that may sound so silly but I know everyone will get it here. I’m in tremendous pain. Feeling so depressed.. Any support would be so great.

    Thanks guys,

    Danielle.

I’m sorry about your bun. What was his name? I can only imagine what you are going through. Luna is my first bun, so I have not experienced the grief of such a tremendous loss, but I know it must be hard having your bun be part of your “routine” every day and then suddenly he’s gone. I can’t imagine coming home from work and not seeing her furry face greet me.

I know that some members here have made little photo albums/paintings/memorials in remembrance of their bun. You might feel sad in the process of making something like that, but I know they felt better afterwards because it was a way to honor their bun as well as another way of saying goodbye.

So sorry for your loss. We lost our Turkii buns a few nights ago and that initial pain feels like a punch to the stomach.

Remember that you provided your bunny a great loving home. One where they could be feel free and loved without fear or abuse that many animals face in the world. Hope the pain eases . Sending some positive energy and bunny love your way

I’m so sorry you lost Pablo. It sounds like he had a wonderful life with you and was dearly loved. A bun couldn’t ask for more!

It’s very hard to lose a bun. They’re so tiny and so dependent on us. Please post photos if you like. It’s natural to feel guilty, but it wasn’t your fault in any way, so try not to. Remember the good times you had together, because that’s what counts.

    ***Binky free, Pablo***

I’m sorry about that Danielle. My Tamino passed away last morning quite unexpectedly. We took him to the vet but he had a hidden cancer and she told us it was too late. Tamino was a great boy, a lovely and charming company… I am sure he and Pablo are in a beautiful place now…

    Greetings from Finland

Thank you for sharing, Danielle. My bunny passed today and knowing that others understand how much pain I am feeling is comforting to me. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope Tilly meets Pablo on the other side. ❤️

I’m very sorry about your sweet Pablo. And Danielle, there’s nothing silly about sincere mourning. I called out of work the day after my bun past away Jun. 19. My empathies are with you. May it console you that Pablo knew you love him.

IT is so lonely my bun crossed over today with some help.  He was suffering.  Awe they seem to bounce back then go backwards.  You did everything right.  Yes they are so very fragile.  Hide things so well
