I’m Allison and the proud owner of one adorable male bunny, and hopefully one more in the near future. He was a susrprise from my ex-boyfriend and was actually bought at an animal auction, I sure am glad he didn’t end up on someones dinner plate. He constantly surprises me with his big personality and funny antics. He loves to jump up on the sofa and get a full bunny massage. I am horrible with names so despite having him for about 4 months he is still nameless so any suggestions would be most welcome. I have read the bonding info and was wondering if neutering is pretty much a must, I want to get him a friend and was wondering if anyone had ever had any success with un-neutered bonding ? Well here are some pics, I believe he is a Lion-head , correct me if I am wrong. Oh and I am pretty sure he is under a year as he has grown considerably since we got him. Thanks !

I say Jed.
Neutering is a must, and very helpful in controlling stinky male odor and undesirable behaviors, but especially if you are wanting to bond him. Unaltered bunnies will fight to injury/death to protect their territory.
Definitely neuter your little pal. He’s very pretty.
Jed is a good name. I also think Rudy when I see him.
Awwww what a cutie!
Ummm…. Mr. Mac, Valiant (like a lion), Knight
He’s so handsome!

He is a lionhead and a very cute one! If he has longer fur around his back legs than he is a double mained lionhead. It doesn’t look like in the pics but I can’t really tell. I used to have one! You do have to groom them a lot. It’s also extremely important that he eats his hay as he is an extra furry bunny. So cute.
My lionheads name was Moe because of his mowhawks
I would call him LEO which is the zodiac sign for LION…..since he is a lionhead! So cute!
Oh dear.. he is a Black Otter Lionhead ![]()
Well I think he is absolutely adorable but that could be because he looks almost exactly like my sweet little Fuzzy! Since he looks so much like my furbaby I vote for the name Fuzzy! ![]()
I love the name Leo! Seems to suit him!
Leo is VERY CUTE!!!
Oh how handsome! I say call him Jett
I also do like the names Leo and Moe!
Yes definitely neuter him – it will make him a much more enjoyable pet and also much healthier. If you haven’t had any problems with litter box habits and stinky boy bunny smells, then you’re right, he’s probably very young and hasn’t hit puberty yet (puberty happens around 5-6 months).
Welcome to binky bunny!
Welcome!
I love the name Leo!
Hi and welcome!
Your bun is adorable! I think Brittany said it best with “Oh dear, he’s a black otter lionhead.”
What about other mythological names? He does look quite valiant… I know that bunnnnnieeeee! has a bun named Zeus, so I think that’s out.
I really like Leo.
What was the name of that lion from the Chronicles of Narnia? That guy kicked butt.
Hi Allison, welcome to the forums! Your little bunster is cute.
So what have you been calling him in the meantime? That might give you an idea as to what his official name will be.

Aslan. ![]()
Leo
He is a lion (Am I thinking astrology?) and Lionheads are lions.. and roar ![]()
I bun nap black otters!! *prepares the black otter bag*
I vote for Jed…or maybe Chester? What a cutie!
Leo is a cute name! For some reason when I saw him I thought of Elvis! ![]()
Elvis would be cute too. I’ve known so many bunnies named Leo that I guess it’s not really an original name… not sure I’ve heard of a Jed or Elvis.
ohhh….i would name him fluffy leo…i just like saying fluffy!!
