Mmmm – just had idea but you’d have to be really committed to spend the time.

As a kid, i tried my hand at latch hook (where you latch wool onto a thatched backing – sort of like how long pile rugs look)

So I was thinking you could latch hay or something similar onto a backing for buns to tug at.  Mine was just tugging at carpet when I had this idea!

Any variations on this you could suggest to create a successful bunny toy?  Using hay would be like: hours of labour=seconds of destruction.

Now that is a great idea. I guess you’d still have to becareful though with the actual backing being chewed on? I don’t know anything about latch hook. But I think you are really onto something here.

Well I don’t have any ideas for latch hook..but I do have an idea that’s kind of similiar that I think buns would love.  There is a way to crochet fabric..I think it’s maybe called rug hooking?  I’m on my way out right now but I will see if I can find some examples later.  But basically you like crochet a rug with scraps of sheets, towels whatever.  I have one that was supposed to be a bath mat but it didn’t come out right..so I think I might give it to Tucker and see how that goes

I used to latch hook! oh man, I have no idea how to do it anymore, but that would be fun! But like BinkyBunny said, the backing could be a problem.
