It’s unusual for a snuffly nose to just clear up on its own. It’s either a URI or a chronic problem (allergies, kinked sinuses due to face shape, tooth root problems, etc.). This doesn’t sound like an emergency, but you should have a vet do a more thorough investigation to rule out anything serious.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Are my bunnies fully bonded? in the forum BONDING 4 years, 10 months ago
The mere existence of grooming doesn’t actually mean rabbits are bonded– it is a positive sign, but it is a common behavior behavior present during the bonding process, as opposed to just at the end.
I would actually recommend not doing the water spray nor always reducing after this occurs. In actuality, as long as they do not escalate into a…[Read more]

I have had my rabbit for a little over a week. I got him from a locally owned petstore. I was told he was 9 weeks old when I picked him up. so he is around 10 weeks now. He is acting completely fine and is eating normally. However his ear seems to be starting to lop i believe. Does this just mean his is a lion lop mix or should I be concerned?

The running around could perhaps have been a kind of seizure? Dogs can have seizures where they run around and cant be contacted. EC can cause seizures.
EC can re-occur, so its great that your vet put him on Panacur again. EC can manifest as seizures, head tilt, balance problems and/or kidney/bladder problems. It can probably also affect the gut.…[Read more]

Hello, so I know a common way of knowing that your rabbits are bonded is when they both groom each other. I have been bonding my two rabbits through the TokiHut method where you start with a small space and gradually increase. Fortunately, both my rabbits lay next to each other, groom one another, and flop by each other. But there is one a…[Read more]

Hi. my bunny has been recently feeling sick (last 3 days). He suddenly started to slightly tilt his head especially while eating and drinking (and for this reason he stopped eating his food and drinking). Also he became really lethargic and lays down all day.
Since he previously suffered from e cuniculi , even if in a different form (his body was…[Read more]

Hey guys …thank you again for replying to my original post. So here’s what’s going on now … I have been administering meloxicam regularly for the past two full days. And the results are well, confusing i suppose. He’s acting the same, almost exactly the same.
He still only wants pet while he’s underneath the table ( which is where he is 80…[Read more] -

Ellie, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Breintje, you and Bas must be absolutely devastated.
Breintje was such a special bun, and I know a wonderful companion for you in times of need. You gave him such a wonderful life.

Hello everyone!
I have a rabbit who started making “snuffly” noises today. It sounds like he has a stuffy nose- a bit like a clicking, congested noise when he breathes.
He has always had some nose noises- he snores when he sleeps, he sneezes every so often. The vet has always said it’s fine as there’s never been any discharge. He’s half lop,…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Type of hay? in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 10 months ago
The whole dandelion plant incl the seeds and root is quite fine for rabbits.
Timothy seed heads are not generally considered a problem for rabbits. There are always seed heads in the timothy hay I get, both pet store hay and farm hay. Alfalfa is still a lot richer than timothy that has seed heads, so I too would guess this is a late cut grass hay…[Read more]

Ugh, my buns hate this hay and it’s the only hay I have since the hay I usually get is usually thicker, basically 1st cut filled with timothy hay and heads.
It’s too soft…my female one seems to eat anything, it’s just my male buns that seem to like thicker hay.
The guy who i bought this from said, “The farmer said this is second cut Timothy,…[Read more]

Hey everyone 🙂
I also hadn’t thought of decorating for Halloween for my new rabbits’ enclosure/home base, but I guess there’s still time!
In the meantime, here are some pics of our adopted pair, who seem to have come through their initial transition bumps really well (with help from this forum for sure).
Meet Fred (milk dot nose) and George,…[Read more]

It doesn’t look horrible (i.e. probably not an emergency). It probably separated a little bit from him jumping or chewing at it. I would just have the vet take a look as soon as you can. He may need something to keep him from messing with it.

It’s hard to guess age once they are an adult. I would say he is probably a young adult though. I’m basing that off the pictures/videos.

I forgot to post this yesterday. Got 2 bales of timothy hay for 10 bucks as I told the a manager at a place called “the red barn” my story and showed pictures yesterday. They too believe it is a hotot without both eye markings, leading them to believe it was dumped as well for not being show worthy. Really sad if true. Anyway to guess a rabbits…[Read more]
