I am deciding between 2 vets, but I know pricing for one vet is $52 for a checkup and $106 for a spay. I don’t know pricing for the other but I know that they both treat/spay exotics.

We will avoid it too! 🙂

Yes, I know stains take a while to come out! I was more concerned with the fur that was matted and caked with poop but I didn’t want to brush him too much as I know how fragile their skin is. Thank you for the link I will try the dry bath!

Unless you’re seeing some bad gunk build up, stained fur isn’t too bad. As mentioned, it will grow out and sometimes trying to wash it out is simply a losing battle, especially for a new rabbit. It won’t change their true personalities. But you will notice less hormonal behavior. Sometimes people mistake hormonal behavior for personality, so they think spaying/neutering changes their personality because those hormonal behaviors are no longer there.

If you washed his feet, that’s about all you can do. Stains don’t come out of fur very well. You’ll just have to wait for the fur to grow out.

OK, curiosity got the better of me. I weighed 1/8 of a cup of Oxbow pellets. It was about 20 grams.

It’s hard to know how much 15 grams of pellets is. Different types of pellets are going to weigh different amounts. But, from what I have found online, 1/4 cup of pellets is about 15oz. If this is true, then yes, 15oz may be too much.

What brand of pellets are you using?

I agree. This could be nothing to worry about. But it’s a good idea to brush her and push hay.

Buns are more sturdy than we think! I was stressed to just take mine on a car ride, but he was ok. We then upgraded to long train rides, and then to a 12hour flight (although door to door it is more like 20 hours (NYc – Brussels)).
