Okay thanks, I was asking if they may still get along because when they were babies they got along and it has only been 5 months. But you answered and that sucks that if I do they wouldn’t already be bonded.

She used to eat about 120 grams of three to four different veggies (it should convert to about 1,5 cups but I’m not entirely sure) plus 40 grams (should be about 2/3 cup) of Versele Laga Cuni Complete Pellet (it’s a European brand approved by vets) which she always ate.
I’m saying used because after the stasis she had loose stool for a while so I…[Read more] -

I’m unsure what you’re asking, but a baby bond is going to occur with any young rabbit involved in the relationship who has yet to be “sexually mature”. Rabbits do not need to be a part of a baby bond to be happy– as long as you are providing attention/care to all rabbits, they will be fine. The risk of fully accepting and planning your daily…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Chance on 3 bunny bond in the forum BONDING 4 years, 9 months ago
There will experiences of trios working and not working– just like with bonding two rabbits, it comes down to personality dynamics, and with a trio, that can statistically be harder since you have more rabbits that need to try and work stuff out. Trio bonding is typically “harder” because it can be less formulaic than duo bonding. You can see…[Read more]

Is it common for adding another bunny to a bond to not work? Has anyone had an experience of this working out or not?

Did the vet do dental x rays to confirm she has overgrown tooth roots?
Sometimes runny eyes and a stuffed nose mean the URI that has come back or never was fully eradicated. Its not rare for a URI to need several weeks on antibiotics to resolve.
There is no home remedy for overgrown teeth. All you can do is try to get her to eat more hay and…[Read more]

Thank you DanaNM!! Good news, she did one very mucusy poop last night. Only thing is, she physically is the same 12 hours later still: lethargic, not active at all. Back to the vet tomorrow for the same injections, we will be asking for an oral painkiller and subq fluids. It does make me feel better that it is a long process. Thanks for your…[Read more]

Ahhh I too am guilty of the foster fail! I started fostering Bonnie (who was a terrified and cage aggressive bun who had been at the shelter for 3 years). Of course we fell in love with her and she was doing so well. Decided to try to bond her with my pair. The girls didn’t get along, but we couldn’t send her back. Tried to have a quad, but the…[Read more]

If the tooth (or tooth roots) have gotten long enough to affect the eyes and sinuses, unfortunately she will need some dental work to correct the problem. At this point eating more hay won’t help.
Prices for dental procedures can vary, do you know if your vet is very confident with them? Perhaps you could get a second opinion to get another…[Read more]

my bunny has recently recovered from an URI and after a month or two I found out her right eye has been watery and crusty from the dried up eye juice and also when she gets excited the noise of like a wheezing/whistling plays out of her nose,, I had a vet check on my bunny and they said due to her having overgrown teeth when she was young (from…[Read more]

Hmmm, it seems like something else might be going on health-wise. Can you describe her diet in detail, just so we can get a full picture? It is really good she eats a lot of hay, but that also makes it surprising that her poops are small still. I wonder if there could be an ingredient in her pellets that doesn’t agree with her?

Hi Everyone,
We have two bunnies who are in the bonding phase right now. Nova (buck), and Ginki (girl) had played together when they were babies. To get both of them fixed we separated them to avoid the excessive chasing, mounting and general irritation they caused each other. They are living side by side in separate pens since then.
They are in…[Read more]

<p class=”_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM”>Hi guys, I’m new to the forum.
My bunny is a 4 years old only child. I’m with her all day and she’s free roam except for the bedroom, so she’s alone during the night.
About a month and a half ago she had a case of gi stasis that was treated at the vet and since then I noticed she doesn’t eat and poop much (if at…[Read more] -

@susanne, are they pointing their noses up when they’re licking the air? Like tilting their head back a bit and licking? Just asking coz it might be a symptom of a deeper airway infection that affects their breathing. It’s something to keep an eye on, but since youve got them antibiotics that would be first line of treatment anyway 😊

My heart goes out to you Moxie. I’m sorry you experienced that. 🙁
as others mentioned, it’s one of those horrible, unfortunate accidents. Loki was well loved, as is Finnegan and all your fur babies in your care and the ones already passed on.

Hi Ali
I remember you. I’m sorry you had to say goodbye to your dear sweet girl. It is hard to see them decline rapidly like that.
12 really is a wonderful age for her to live to. And Blu almost 12 also!

Despite the set-backs, Im glad you and Bas have started process of getting another fur baby to love. There are always buns in need of loving homes – even if you adopt privately. I keep thinking of that neighbours rabbit you mentioned one time!
