I hope this is the right place for this post and sorry for posting so much. How can someone get hay out of fleece without a vacuum? My dad likes to throw the fleece blankets away and it aggravates me so much, he won’t even try a vacuum and says that hay will clog it up and he can’t afford a new one.

Haha! That’s what is fun about bunnies. They are all so different. It’s great that you don’t have any expectations for them. It will be so much more enjoyable watching them blossom into their own unique personalities.
Mop? I love it! I will be curious to see if Owen continues to do that as he gets older.

If you treat your bunny with Revolution, there is some environmental benefit. Skin dander can help carry the Revolution into the environment. But it only really works where it would become concentrated (e.g. a pet bed, etc.). The best way to clean the environment is to wash any soft things in hot water (fleece, blankets, beds, etc.) and then…[Read more]

Ellie, that is so true! Few things in life equal the intense joy of seeing poop after your bun has been poorly! I confess in such moments I actually have taken pics of poop and sent to other (bunny) people =D

Unfortunately I do not have personal experience on cleaning the environment due to mites. I’ve linked two sites which may provide some guidance on mite treatment as well as cleaning procedures: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Mites , https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Cleaning_after_your_rabbit
You want to make sure that whatever product you use, you give…[Read more]

Who’d have believed it? I wouldn’t have, so I had to take a picture really sneakily… It’s Owen’s 5th day here, and he’s laying on my lap already!
He’s still exploring his territory and his escape routes. Part of that is jumping onto the sofa and running across my lap to the other side of the sofa 😆
Today I was sitting with a blanket, and…[Read more]

OBD, I love the term! I think that the diagnosis can be officially confirmed after the first “weeping over a poop” moment.
That glorious moment when you know that your ill bunny will be alright, because you just saw the most wonderful poop in the world!
You get the terrible urge to whip out your phone and send it to all your other bunny-loving…[Read more]

Hello all,
We’ve been to the vet with Pheebs today and Dr said she has skin mites (very little blackish dots), she has been treated but we were wondering about cleaning the environment.
All bedding/toys were disposed of, the batch of hay we’ve been using as well in case it’s how she got it. The problem is the carpets/sofa that she loves. We’ve…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Neutering? Is it necessary? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 9 months ago
I’m so surprised that the costs are so different at different vets… Happy that you have found another vet though, and that your buns can get the surgery that they need ^_^
Being so full of raging hormones probably isn’t fun for them either. Our rainbow bridge bunny Breintje used to get so frustrated, and his neuter really improved his general…[Read more]

We’re going through the same thing right now, and I can only say that you’re doing the right thing.
The only difference between our situations is that we knew that we had a brother and a sister from the start. We just didn’t expect that the humping would start so soon.
The first day in their hutch they were so cute together, and they loved to…[Read more]

Yes, they’ll be fine as long as they eat enough hay and keep pooping 🙂
Bunnies love to nibble on sweet things, the more forbidden they are, the better. We had to be super careful, because Breintje would even eat chocolate when he could get it.
He hoovered around our feet when we had something sweet with our tea, and he hoovered up any crumb…[Read more]

“Accident” they said… My goodness, if all accidents looked like this, the world would be a paradise! 🙄 😀
They came into our life much sooner than we expected. The guy said that the breeders weren’t very active because all shows have been cancelled. I was mentally preparing myself that it could take months. And suddenly here they are! We…[Read more]
