I don’t think you need to do anything if the scab looks good. It will heal and then fall off. If you are worried, you could call your vet and ask.

I recommend looking for a rabbit rescue in your area, sometimes they offer boarding with their foster homes!

Tricia Glennon replied to the topic "Help! Why are my rabbits fighting?!" in the forum BONDING 4 years, 9 months ago
They are fighting for territory they have reached sexual maturity and it can be very dangerous. They need to be fixed . Then slowly monitor them after weeks once they heal and hormones are gone. You can still possibly keep them together as they are used to each other and have bonded but thw hormones are raging and until spayed or neutered it will…[Read more]

Two months is a long time. I would definitely not settle for just anyone as this is very crucial for your rabbit. I hope you find someone who can really help ans give him/ her the roaming area and adequate love attention and space they need

Tricia Glennon replied to the topic After 14 days of antibiotic in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 9 months ago
are you seeing a exotic rabbit specialist? This is important as antibiotics are only given to bunnys when desperate and the type given can be dangerous. I would contact them immediately and respiratory infections are and can be deadly fast for them. If they don’t help anymore then you think contact another exotic rabbit specialist asap for a s…[Read more]

My bunny was neutered and had to have a pain injection and IV fluids and he does not have a scab the thing about them is it can take nothing for them to get an infection on the skin so you need to contact the vet immediately and tell them because it can get infected and it can be very very serious

You need to have some sort of carpeting blanket in there as well they can’t just be on the hardwood floor have you tried letting the bunny run around the house they will become destructive like that and become depressed if they’re not being stimulated mentally and actively adventuring around the house and new smells new rooms you just have to mon…[Read more]

I don’t know what the long things are but I am 100% sure that the other stuff is definitely red clover! It can cause loose stool if fed fresh in large amounts. You should defeniteley be fine, since it is dried and in a small amount. 🙂

The long things look like plantain weed (plantago major) to me. I often forage plantain leaves for my buns, but I’ve never given the actual seed heads.

Bam replied to the topic Rabbit loud tooth grinding or clicking. Vet didn't find any problems. in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 9 months ago
They can purr loudly. My bun Bam purred so loud it could be heard throughout a room, especially when he was lying in my mum’s lap when we were visiting and she pet him. He jumped into her lap himself and demanded pets, so it was totally voluntary on his part (mum didn’t really have a choice though).
You should of course keep an eye, but without…[Read more]

Hello everyone! Like the title says my rabbit has been loudly clicking her teeth but the vet didn’t find any issues. My rabbit is also not showing any other signs of pain or discomfort. Except for itching ears which the vet gave her some flea meds, also gave her some ear mite meds a month ago. Bunny usually teeth clacks when she is lounging so I…[Read more]

Hey! Thanks for the reply!
Oh, I searched and people said red clover is okay for buns.
The smartweed or whatever that is, it seems not a lot of people feed it, i’m just worried it might have an effect on them later on, but they seem to be okay. Except one of them stop eating hay and pellets, he’s not eating much at all, so i’m a bit worried if…[Read more]

If you’re treating with diatomaceous earth, then you will probably want to use a HEPA filter on the vacuum. Otherwise, I don’t think it matters. Just make sure to dispose of the bag once you’re done.
