It couldn’t hurt her to get some more hay in her, maybe a break from pellets will be good for her

So, she doesn’t really binky. I’ve seen her binky only a few times. She’s got the space to do it, but she never does. Maybe that’s osteoarthritis…?
Thanks for the advice! I’ll book a spay (with blood work and the x-ray) tomorrow

I had one or two other question.
It’s a new one and he’s currently free roam in the living room. I don’t want to change too much things since everytime I do, it seems to take him time to adjust. How long does it normally take for a rabbit to trust a new home ? He seem so scared of every corner in the room and I’m like man, you’ve been here a week…[Read more]

Thank you so much for all your replies.
I decided I’ll build trust first, and then train him to tolerate being picked up.
Tell me if I’m wrong, but I’ll give my advice to those who are in a similar situation.
For grooming, I basically lure him on a pillow or anything hard really and lift him up on an elevated surface, their he’s scared and…[Read more]

I don’t have any experience with euthanasia, although I’ve sadly had a few rabbits pass away. Two of them were very traumatic and it was clear the buns were in a lot of pain, so I wish I had been able to help them pass more peacefully, although their deaths were so sudden it would never have been on my mind.
I know that Bladesmith just went…[Read more]

I totally agree that there shouldn’t any guilt involved with throwing in the towel. Buns get a lot of benefits from having another bun as a neighbor, even if they aren’t bonded, and Wick is right that having established set-ups vs the sea of pens and fencing that you end up with during bonding!
When I was having a super hard time with Bun Jovi…[Read more]

Generally speaking, I think soybeans and corn are the worst in terms of fillers.

In case there’s reluctance to give up due to any feelings of guilt or something, fear not — it happens and two single rabbits can still have wonderful lives. My Wick and Fable live separated permanently (as of now) after failed bonding. There was a time they could share the free roam space, but it didn’t hold and ultimately Wick just doesn’t want…[Read more]

It is unfortunate that the new rabbits’ presence have strained your bonded pair, and that is something that happens at times. In both scenarios (trying to do 2 bonded pairs and trying to do a quad), you could end up with singles — it really depends on how they all mesh together.
Is there any way you can house the pairs in more separated areas?…[Read more]

Which is better to avoid. I don’t want to feed one that’s not good for them.

I’m so sorry 🙁 , sweet feisty little Dawn. I’ve often joked that Nethies compensate for their tiny ear size with their big personalities, and I think Dawn fits my theory well!

Oh that’s so funny about the garlic! I tried it out with Cooper and it’s worked a charm so far, hopefully he doesn’t develop at taste for it!
And great news Re: spaying!
