Yes, grain-free and gluten-free is just fine. A lot of people on BB use Sherwood and they seem to like it. I think it’s one of the more “simple” formulas that can be found in the US.

I was looking at Sherwoods and there’s is grain free, and gluten free. That’s okay? I worry for my bunnies, just want the best for them.

Hi both! She’s about 1.5 years – and nothing has really changed – eating normally, poop size/amount same as before. I’m visiting with my bunny but they are in separate rooms and don’t interact (its also been about a month and a half that I’ve been here and she started doing this last week) She’s not spayed.

Not really. If I moved them to a new location, there wouldn’t be a lot of space for them, so idk if it could work. It’s something I could try to figure out tho. I’m not sure if it’s to the point where I should split them or not though. I’m worried they could unbond and actually get into a fight while I’m gone. This behavior has been going on for…[Read more]

Hi and welcome to the BB forums!

First a few questions: How old is the rabbit? Is she spayed? Has anything changed in the household, like the addition of another pet?

How is her appetite, and have there been any changes in amount and/or size of her poopies?

Sudden behaviour changes can be hormonal or age-related. How old is your bunny, and has she been spayed?

    Hi all,

My parent’s bunny recently started pooping and peeing outside her litter box. She’s never done this before and as much as we clean it and place the poop/paper towels with pee in the litter box, she refuses to use it. I’ve attached a picture for reference: the litter box is inside a drawer that has an opening on the side (her hay is there…[Read more]

2bunnymummy started the topic Re-bonding after bad breakup, is it fixed? in the forum BONDING 4 years, 7 months ago

Question: I THINK they’ve rebonded after so much effort and 4 months later, thankfully, but does that mean their more susceptible to a bond breaking in the future? That’s what scares me, or that they could just start fighting again for no reason after seeming bonded again.

    BACKSTORY BELOW:

I’ve been doing so much research trying to find specific…[Read more]

There have been no documented cases of COVID-19 infections in domestic rabbits or cottontails. However, lab studies have shown that they can technically become infected with the virus. Keep in mind that this was in a lab where the rabbits were purposefully inoculated with the virus. None of the rabbits in the experiment actually exhibited symptoms…[Read more]

It’s hard to know what to suggest since we don’t know what is available in Malaysia. The link Dana gave gives good information about the nutritional analysis you want to see in a pellet. This might also be helpful. It’s a comparison chart of rabbit pellets: http://www.therabbithouse.com/diet/rabbit-food-comparison.asp

I agree. It could be mites. Treatment is simple though. Just make sure it is something safe to use on rabbits (as Bam said).

Theoretically, rabbits can contract COVID-19; however, this is based on laboratory exposure which does not generalize well to typical day-to-day interactions one would have with their rabbits: https://rabbit.org/covid-19/ . Please take general precautions with your rabbits as you would with other people and report any concerning symptom…[Read more]

No no no. Your bunny isn’t gonna get covid from you! I’ve had covid once or twice and my buns didn’t get it. My dad has had it once too. When we’ve had covid we’ve been all over our buns, hugging and kissing them, and they’ve been totally fine, so please don’t worry.

That’s really reassuring to hear. Thank you. I feel like it’s almost taboo to not do everything possible to bond, but I just feel like this isn’t the right time and it’s not what’s best for them right now. Monkey adores Tokki, but he’s kind of indifferent to her. He’s super social with us and her, but he just likes doing his own thing all the…[Read more]

@Bladesmith: sorry that I overlooked this, this new thread within a thread system is a bit confusing.

It must have been such a revelation to get a diagnosis! I hope that it’ll help you ^_^

Your plan for a shop is amazing, you make beautiful stuff! Wishing you all the best for this new year!
