Thank you both for your feedback. Yes, I will have to go back to the neutral space bonding, and I wasn’t aware that they shouldn’t be let out to a bigger space until they truly bonded. My bunny wanted out of the pen most of the time; he wasn’t comfortable. He also walked away from her often as he seemed overwhelmed by all the requests for grooming…[Read more]

Since they’re 6 and 5 months now, you should stsrt to switch them over to timothy or or other grass hay. Alfalfa is a lot yummier than grass hay, so they might not be happy about it, but it is very important that they get into good grass hay-eating habits, since grass hay is the most important part of an adult buns diet. It is important to keep an…[Read more]

hello!
I have two rabbits, one is six months and the other is five. Both recently got neutered.
Currently, i have both on alfalfa hay and home fresh show hutch deluxe pellets.
Was wondering if this is a good diet for them. My mom insists on giving them various treats, but i recently convinced her to not give them the stuff she gives them.…[Read more]

Went in for another bun but asked about this since we needed refill.
Was told there wasn’t anything stronger except buprenorphine, which I understand is super strong and usually for end of life care. Was given a range for gabapentin for which we are currently at the lowest.
Was thinking of using the buprenorphine, lowest dose, only when it’s…[Read more]

Lmao I can just picture your sulky buns at hoppy hour xD
I love the penned area idea, are any further procautions needed to ensure they won’t dig their way out of a portable pen? And since, as you say, they’re happiest in their own homes, would it even be appreciated? I’ve just noticed he seems to love exploring but maybe outside just isn’t…[Read more]

I used to take my buns to parks by setting up a xpens at the parks along with hidey boxes/tubes. I’ve also taken them to the beach before, which was a dream for one bun to dig the sand…
Just be aware of dogs and hawks, or once one had a ton of bird poop and at the beach some #$%@ kids came by and threw rocks at my buns.
I find a harness much…[Read more]

Thank you as always for your help/suggestions. I was giving the ivermectin orally before starting the revolution. I will look into the injections and moxidectin. It’s aaaalways something 🙁

Biscuit@Smores replied to the topic One rabbit "Quarantined" how to help the other rabbit in the forum BEHAVIOR 1 year, 8 months ago
They are fully bonded. I brought the carrier out but Biscuit is scared of it and doesn’t approach it, he seems to be eating all right but is very avoidant. On the other hand, Smores has been bored and sleeping a lot, I tried making toys for him but he doesn’t seem interested though he is eating fine. Both rabbits have never been fond of toys,…[Read more]

I mentioned this in another thread, but my healing rabbit is rather bored, I gave him some toys, but he isn’t interested. Both have never been into toys so, I’m concerned that when I move them indoors they will become under-stimulated on top of that the space to roam would be smaller which may add more stress.
My folk have noticed the issue with…[Read more]

Oh no! But I guess that does make sense. There is the chance for an adverse reaction with any of those spot on treatments, Revolution included. It’s rare though. I guess Fresno is one of the unlucky ones. :/
The only other thing I know of that can treat ear mites is moxidectin, which is an oral medication.

This puts my mind at ease. I’ve been worried that the process is overly stressful on her, especially being in a relatively new environment with new people. I really appreciate the feedback and advice. Thank you!

Hey so I’m back with an update/realization regarding my last post where Fresno couldn’t walk. It happened again yesterday. I thought it was a random occurrence, maybe he strained himself again somehow, but then I put 2 and 2 together… both times this happened to him I dosed him with revolution the day before because he has those recurring ear…[Read more]
