For his mooting pattern, I’ve only sent you pictures of when he was not ill. As you can see he was flopping was much, even doing it next to me, it’ll comeback though… His fur looks nothings like that now as he has two like 3 inches bald spot on each side from over grooming and scratching. I think it’s becoming better, I saw that the skin was dry…[Read more]

I’ll try the carpet, and I never thought of softer toys. Thanks for the ideas!

Hi! I have two dwarf bunnies and I will admit I didn’t take the best care of one of them in the beginning when I first got her. I didn’t spay until almost two and didn’t get her a friend till around then too. Rabbits should be spayed for hormonal behaviors and cancer. Normally around 4-6 months. It takes time to bond to your bunny. You should be…[Read more]

Maybe a no pile carpet? I got some at ikea for only 10 and 20 dollars! ( 10 for the smaller one 20 for the larger one ) They are working well. Also, you could try changing the toys out at night for softer toys like loofa or seagrass mats so it’s not as loud. Also try explaining the needs of rabbits to your father and why they can’t be in the…[Read more]

He’s doing ok. The first few days after he was bereft, barely ate, kept looking for her. Now he’s back to himself, but he’s gotten more cuddly towards me. I spent a half hour last night with him next to me, giving him head rubs and scritches, and I wasn’t allowed to stop. He’ll be ok.
This spring, when the weather warms and…[Read more]

Hey y’all! I got a problem… No surprise, I’m sure
So, I keep my rabbit pen in a book in my room. My dad’s bed just happens to be right under the rabbit pen. And I think the builders forgot sounds mat in the ceiling, because when Jumping Jack plays with her toys at night, it keeps my dad up
My dad isn’t well educated on a pet’s needs. Like, at…[Read more]

Loki’s Belleh, Loki’s Belleh, Loki’s Belleh!
Since Dawn’s passing, Loku has gotten a little more affectionate. I know I’m a poor substitute, but I spend a half hour last night giving him head rubs and scritches. I wasn’t allowed to stop.
Also, in the background, you can seen the new bike someone dumped in the “giveaway zone” next to the…[Read more]

Hi Hotot!
I think you’ll get more responses if you start a new thread with these questions! The short answer is two male rabbits can be usually bonded, but both should be neutered first. 🙂
Let me know if you have questions on how to start a thread and I can help you with that.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Bunny thumping at the wall? in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 6 months ago
Here is a helpful excerpt I use from another rabbit community to address thumping concerns:
“My rabbit is thumping! What does it mean? A rabbit thumps when they are feeling afraid, alert, or threatened. A single thump can indicate displeasure. Rabbits will often seek safe refuge while thumping. Remember that rabbits have better hearing and smell…[Read more]

So my 3 year old mini rex mix, Egg, has been thumping at my wall every minute or so for the last hour. Hes never done this and I’m really confused… he is pretty skittish but he’s not trying to hide, and he’s free roam with various houses all over my apartment. He’s just been on the corner of my bed, staring at the farthest wall, periodically…[Read more]

Took Walter and Boo in for the hemorrhagic disease vaccine. They were not pleased.
Got a nail trim and vet looked at their teeth…all good there.
Walter was pretty good about it, but did give a big thump when back in the carrier.
Boo was definitely ticked off! She went straight up just trying to weigh her. Her thump, once back in the ca…[Read more]

I would just like to say that my family and I have only started feeding him watermelon rinds when they were four months, and before then, I have not noticed anything on his chin. The yellow I’m referring to is the fur. I listed parts of his diet because I have read in other threads that a wet diet may have caused it, but I’m not sure how to tr…[Read more]

I have a little more than 5 months old New Zealand buck. Just recently, I found a patch underneath my bunny’s chin. When I look it up, descriptions say it could be dental problems; but I’ve also heard the 5 months is usually too young to be having dental problems. He always has a lot of hay, and he has a grass basket he chews. He also frequen…[Read more]

The more secure way to lift him is better. It’s always better, there is (as you know) a big risk that he hurts himself if he jumps out or kicks back or if you have to hold him too hard.
I can imagine he was crossed when you blocked off access to the couch! He will forget about it though.
Here are your pictures:

He looks very relaxed…[Read more]

Cinnamon Bun replied to the topic ♡ Baby bun allergic to hay?? ♡ in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 6 months ago
Update: He went back to the clinic two days ago, and the vet definitely thinks he’s allergic to his hay so we’re changing it to orchard. She said if he had an infection he would be sneezing in the clinic, be inactive and have a fever. So, at least he doesn’t have a respiratory infection or anything.
