My laptop version of Chrome is the latest, but my phone is not. Nothing else an issue, and can see the photos in add media.

I’m so happy you went to a different vet! I’m sure she will make a speedy recovery now that she has a good care regimen!

Thought I’d give an update. Min Min is doing really well. Very active like usual and has even been chewing wood with moderate success. He has been off critical care and pain medicine for two weeks (though we still give him meloxicam). We took him to a vet appointment this past week and our doctor looked him over. She says that he’s healing as…[Read more]

I’m so glad you were able to get through this with her and that you were able to find a vet with whom you feel more comfortable! Best wishes to a smooth recovery!

My post from earlier was Chrome on mobile Android. The current is Chrome on Desktop

… and it has been working on Firefox as well.
I’ll check in with the team to see if anyone else is having issues. My other thought is if you recently added a new plug-in to any of your devices and/or if any devices require an update.

Phone android, laptop is Mac. Yes, logged in and out. Two separate devices so don’t think clearing cache will help but will try. Using Chrome browser on both, I will try Firefox.

Did the vet give you pain meds? Often buns will mess with their sutures more when they don’t have pain meds.

Thanks for thoughtfully caring for the rabbits you have opened your home and heart to! BinkyBunny forums rule 3-C states:
- Rehoming Rabbits: Our forum cannot be used as a resource to rehome your bunny. The Rescue section is meant for Rescues and Shelters, and Fosters from a Rescue/Shelter only. However, you can ask about how to deal with s…

The vet did tell us to use a cone, and they gave us one as well. And when she did have it off, she would try to pull stitches, so I had to sit next to her and push her head away from the stitches a little tiny bit when she did it. And putting it on was worse. She don’t want to cooperate, and she just squirms and scratches and bites. All the motion…[Read more]

Hopefully the next meeting goes just as well! And so long as we have pictures, I’m happy. 😉

Bunny should be restricted for a few days, but that doesn’t mean he has to be locked up 24/7. He can come out to explore. You just want to discourage him from running around too much and jumping on things.

Yes, e-collars are not recommended for rabbits. They are used when there is no other alternative and the rabbit won’t leave the sutures alone. I agree with Dana, see how she does without it. An alternative to the e-collar is to make a vest that covers the affected area out of an old sock.

I’m glad she’s back to normal!
If she’s due for a check-up anyway, I don’t think a vet visit could hurt. But it does sound like maybe the blanket could have had something to do with it.
You could also get advice from the vet on what to do in the future. They may be able to provide you with metacam and/or fluids to give at home as a first if she…[Read more]

Usually cones are not used for rabbits for this reason. They can be really stressful for the bun as well. Did your vet explicitly tell you to use one for her? Was she bothering her sutures? You could try taking it off periodically for her to eat the cecals, and then put it back on when she’s unsupervised?

DanaNM replied to the topic Neutering in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 6 months ago
The usual guidelines are to keep buns from jumping or running for at least a few days so they don’t pull suture.
If he hasn’t eaten by the evening before you go to bed you should syringe feed him. Some buns just need a syringe feeding or two to perk back up after anesthesia.

Hey y’all! Me again
So Jumping Jack just got spayed. She is wearing the cone, which has been difficult but manageable. Up until the cecotropes
We were having difficulties going in the litterbox. I took the top off, and now she’ll go in there for the 2nd cycle turds, but with cecotropes, she just plops them out on the floor. And since she has the…[Read more]
