Thanks!
I have been giving simethicone and tummy massage.
She is doing okay and continuing to eat bits and poop very small droppings now and again. She is already on 0.32 of loxicom.
I’m am starting to lean towards a vet trip of she doesn’t pick up soon but I am wondering if actually she even needs the vets.
Given she is not grinding and is…[Read more]

@Cinnamonbun, adopted! She is now in the “dinning” area of my kitchen. It is one of the few places Dorian hasn’t really been since he hates slippy floors. I also have a smaller apartment.
Both dates went well, I just hope I made the right choice for Dorian and Waffles (soon to be renamed)
There seems to be some tech problem with the photos, i…[Read more]

Long story short, I now have two bunnies and no kitchen!
OMG! Are you adopting/fostering Waffles ? ♡
For posting photos I usually add them to my profile, click on add media and then you’ll usually find them there… if that doesn’t work then I have no idea what’s going on. It’s astonishing that there has been no arguing or fighting in those la…[Read more]

Spay/Neuter
Are your bunnies spayed/neutered? Both are spayed/neutred
If so, for how long (for each)? Dorian for 2+ years For Lillian I am not sure about exact date, but at least 2 months.Housing
Dorian is free-roam with his own room for night time.
Currently Lillian is in a xpen in a part of the kitchen Dorian has rarely been in.

Oh and there were noses sniffed and they did hang out for much longer than I would have chosen due to the shelter volunteer wandering off for a while (they were super busy) but no issues other than her occasionally stomping her foot. She didn’t like it when he went and tried to dig the sheets, even though she went and digged the same spot when he…[Read more]

2nd play date with Waffles happened today. She was a very timid bun and stomped a few times, and ran once. But did come back and sniff him. She recently got attacked by her mother who she was in a trio with, so I have a feeling she was pretty traumatized by that. It was maybe not the best date, but Dorian proved once again he is a total sweetheart…[Read more]

How is he now? It’s normal for them to still be out of it for a bit after they get home. He should start eating soon though.

Yes, you can give simethicone to a bun thats on loxicom. I agree this sounds like gas.

So glad he’s doing well — updates are so appreciated!
Every case is different, but I’ll note that my Wick (also a nethie) has malocclusion which does lead to his upper incisors being shorter than his bottom. He has been able to maintain things fine and no longer needs teeth grinding. I do need to cut his hay shorter so it’s more manageable, and…[Read more]

The easiest thing is recovery formula, Like Oxbow Critical Care. Vets often sell that. It’s a powder that you mix with water and give in a syringe. But if you can’t get that, pellet mush will do. You soak pellets in water until you get a runny “porridge” and feed it with a syringe. Young boys often only need one-two feeding, if any at all. And as…[Read more]
