How about bunny massage workshops? Many bunnies love being massaged and it helps their mobility, especially if they’re getting older. It’s a great bonding activity. These workshops can also be broadcast online (for example through a private video hosting website), and people can watch and practise it in their own home.

<p data-xf-p=”1″>Well her indoor playpen is here. It’s 28 panels, each are 12Lx15h for a total for 4 feet wide x 3 feet long and 30 inches high. Got it on amazon for 60 bucks, great deal IMO. I might buy another to make it bigger and add a enclosed room as the clips it comes with allow for that, but we will see. Made a litter box out of an old…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Bonding journal of Owen and Molly in the forum BONDING 4 years, 1 month ago
We tried a new spot today, but I’m not sure how long we can use it before someone complains and kicks us out. I still have an old key of the building. It used to be a retirement home and there are 3 small unused offices and storage spaces. The problem is that there aren’t any curtains in there, so the cleaners and other residents will see that I’m…[Read more]

Bonding is temporarily suspended until Owen is well again. He’s been ill for a couple of days: not eating and pooping much.
This has radically changed Molly’s behaviour: she’s acting like she was never spayed at all. She’s running circles around his hutch while humming and leaving a circle of poop. She’s also peeing in unusual places.
She’s…[Read more]

Modified the cage to include the first cage I caught her in giving her a dark room. Hoping this will also help with potty training. Not going so well right now. Have two litterboxes in the corners she likes to use the bathroom on. One pure hay the other hay with wood, encase she likes one over the other. Hope her first cage will help as she would…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Does your bun rock out? (Silly quest) in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 1 month ago
Aww, that’s so sweet! My previous bunny Breintje used to rock out in a different way: not with full headbanging, but with gentle swaying to the rhythm of the music. I often have classic rock radio on while I’m working from home, and I noticed that he started to sway during slower songs. Oye Como Va from Santana, Hotel California from the Eagles…[Read more]

Just my personal experience, I did the same thing a little over a year ago and got 2 buns to add to my couple. After putting all 4 together, the 2 new additions kept attacking each other while stressing out the bonded pair so I tried to just focus on bonding the 2 new ones and it was a mess. I just recently gave up and am going to try for a trio…[Read more]

Thank you, Bam for the kind wishes. We bought a few syringes and i”m gonna experiment a bit, and gather the exact details on them before I post, so it’ll be comprehensive. The one we used last night was not ideal, but it was at least enough to get it in her, and surely better than the oral syringe they gave us at the pharmacy (which had a plunger…[Read more]

Thank you for this lovely update! Fingers crossed she’ll keep improving!
It’d be very helpful for the forum members/readers if you post a pic of the feeding syringe that works for you!

Hey I wanted to give a small update. The pet feeding syringes we found at the pet store yesterday actually worked! Bam you were right, the plungers were not so tight, so we could actually push them down without the critical care exploding out. As a result, I was actually able to give her some critical care last night! The good news is that she was…[Read more]

Here is a website that explains a bit about various rabbit lab tests: https://dontdumprabbits.org/resources/interpreting-lab-test-results-on-rabbits/
Dehydration seems like it could explsin some of the findings, but I dont know if its reasonable to think that dehydration could be the root cause of this whole thing.
The elevated blood calcium…[Read more]

Hi
We have two sisters who have been binded from birth and are 2 years old.
We worry about how they’ll manage if one were to pass and wanted to bond additional bunnies to avoid that issue.
We also thought that adding more bunnies may help them have better matching friends as one is very playful and adventurous and the other likes to…[Read more]

Hi!
My rabbit Sage has been having some bloat related issues in the past few months. They usually start in the morning and then they resolve by afternoon the day after. We haven’t had to intervene before, but we have baby gas drops on hand if it lasts too long. She has timothy hay available to her at all times, water, and pellets in the mornings.…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Is this normal behaviour or does she see an opportunity for dominance? in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 1 month ago
Yes, she IS pressing her advantage… 🙄
We woke up this morning to find a circle of turds all around Owen’s hutch, and Molly peed in several spots.
Yeesh, bunnies aren’t nice to each other when dominance is at stake…
