Awww, Dorian and Miu look absolutely adorable together! Love is in the air…🥰
What a pose Freya! I’m sure it’s comfortable when you’re as flexible as a bunny, but to us humans it looks a bit worrying if you see it for the first time.
Here are some pics from our lazybones. It’s been a hot week and especially Molly’s temper is high. She…[Read more]

I still think this is part of her transition from toddler to teenager. It’s a part of growing up. Even iftou spay a rabbit as early assposdible (circa 6 months), it wont stay a baby. Babies are trusting of and cuddly with their “parents”, but at some point, the rabbit will mature into adulthood.
Having your un spayed will likely make her less…[Read more]

So the title explains it pretty well but essentially my lop Miffy who I’ve had for a little over four months (she’s past six months old, yet to be spayed because of some sudden finance things popping up) has always been really affectionate with me from word go with the licking, binkies, purring, flopping over etc. but this past week she has…[Read more]

Glad that she’s comfortable again ^_^
I think that snuggliness depends more on the bun’s personality. I’ve seen many single rabbits who were absolute cuddlebugs like my Breintje. Some single bunnies may also be aloof, like Bladesmith’s Dawn was.
Yes, it’s great to sleep again! I’ve been ignoring my body all the time, and it seems that my…[Read more]

frozen water bottles (or such) wrapped in cloth (I used an old pillow case) , for them to lay against… also just cools the area near it. I would also dampen a towel and throw it in the freezer. I saw someone used large terracotta saucers and froze those for the buns to lay on. I have a scratch and newton icepod that I think is similar (pink…[Read more]

I’ll have to pass you off to @DanaNM for the bonding advice as I really couldn’t have done it with out her! But I will be cheering for your success once you decide to start bonding! & they really are just so complimentary in coloring and size (it really wasn’t planned, she was first single girl bun at shelter, it just was fate!), luckily that also…[Read more]

Thanks Ellie, Miu is back to her sassy self. She’s not very into humans, so that doesn’t help things like vet visits. She is slowly getting better, but I don’t think she’ll ever be like Dorian who to be fair takes the whole snuggle bun concept to new levels. I wonder sometimes if it’s because he was a single bun for a while. Or is she’s just a…[Read more]

If the sneezing got worse when you removed the pellets then I’m guessing the pellets are just a coincidence and it’s the URI, unfortunately. 🙁

DanaNM replied to the topic Are silicone molds safe for bunnies? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 1 month ago
Not sure what you mean by “give to bunnies”… but the molds are definitely be safe to make treats in (that could then be given to buns), but I wouldn’t give the actual mold to the bun because they would likely chew on it and could eat pieces of it.

Well, she was doing some light sneezing again earlytoday, so we did remove the pine pellets from her litter box and also the bag which was stored in a wicker trunk in the den where she sleeps at night. Same set up as my previous bunny had for years using the pine pellets. I have a small amount of Yesterdays News left, so am using that. I ordered…[Read more]

I’ve been wanting to make heart-shaped bunny treats using silicone trays, like the ones used to make ice cubes and chocolates. Would the silicone and plastic molds be safe to give to bunnies? It hasn’t and won’t be used to make any human food. Thank you!

DanaNM replied to the topic Bonding a trio- advice in the forum BONDING 4 years, 1 month ago
Hello again! Here are my thoughts!
So firstly I wouldn’t worry about who is dominant currently and who will be dominant. Honestly it’s often hard to tell, and sometimes we humans end up projecting an outcome on the buns unintentionally that ends up slowing down progress.
Regarding marathoning/unbonding the current pair, etc., going into a…[Read more]

Hmmm I haven’t heard of this, but I suppose it’s possible. Maybe you could take them away and use just hay in the litter box and see if the sneezing goes away?

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Owen has stasis and isn't doing well in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 1 month ago
Yes, it was really crazy. I’ve never had a bun with stasis this long. When the vet said that his gut was completely still I was very very scared. I’m glad that he bounced back to health.
Thank you for saying that I raise them well, it really does me good. I got a very nasty reaction from shelters when my previous bunny Breintje had passed away…[Read more]
