He used to LOVE hay. He would eat every little piece. Then he got sick with stasis and was on gut moving meds for over a month. It was hell.

The basic wooden kitty litter that supermarkets or pet shops sell. Any wooden pellets that are unscented will do. We use the generic brand of our supermarket, it will often say “suitable for rabbits” too.

It’s understandable for the female to be territorial to the new bunny especially since she’s 6 months old. How long ago was she spayed? It could just be hormones. Keep them separated the best you can, wait till the female fully recovers from her spay and of course neuter the new rabbit as well when it is his time.

What hay do you give him? Are you sure it’s just him being selective or maybe he’s not eating that much hay in general. I would check his stools too

Update: The vet suggested we do another ct and compare with the previous one. We did agree that the previous ec testing was a bit off because they couldn’t find the results but they didn’t recommend an ec test. It is common for very young buns to have somewhat most poop. As you are saying, young buns should get nutritious food like alfalfa hay and pellets, to ensure normal growth and development. Your rabbit is very cute! There seems to be some Himalayan in him, so he could be at least part California White? The Himalayan gene makes the ears, nose, toes and tail darker in winter (the gene responds to temperature). California White rabbits get fairly big, and have a reputation as being great pets due to their nice temperament.

Honestly it seems a bit unusual for such a drastic change to happen, especially if its a been at least a week since the stasis/vet visit scents have settled down.
