    Update:

The vet told me to monitor the swelling and to have it checked if it becomes worse or if I notice any changes in behavior.

I got home from work, and the swelling had significantly decreased. The teeth also seemed as usual.

I thought we were all good, but I still took a picture to take a longer look, and now I feel like his whole nose is…[Read more]

Hi yall, me again. Three days ago I just got my new baby bunny. I named him junior.

Unfortunatly, I lost my Maui to due to a big fracture… Operation here in Canada would have been more than 3000$ which I could not afford …

But Junior is my first baby bunny since I adopted Maui from a shelter when he was older.

Few questions here: I’ve heard…[Read more]

Not loads to report on but thought I’d give an update regardless!

I had to unfortunately relocate back to the upstairs area so they are both in my room in side by side pens and our new neutral territory is the bathroom. The dates were stressing everyone out a bit (humans included) so instead I’ve been working on table bonding for the past wee…[Read more]

That’s awful to lose a bunny like this, doing everything you possibly can and they don’t recover 😢

I’m so sorry for your loss. Binky free, sweet Binkie!

I have used a litter screen before but her paws were getting starting to get sore hocks. I got a giant litter box that has a hay rack and bedding in to different parts to see if that helps while it didn’t. I have tried pibe pellets but my other bunny eats them. I have tried digging toys and snuffle mats, which she played with and then went to d…[Read more]

    Hello Bam,

Thank you for your advice and kind words; Simba will be really happy to hear that you find him adorable aha! I checked his teeth to the best of my ability this morning, and they seemed fine, but I will double-check to make sure. Hopefully, the swelling gets better soon, but I will monitor it and bring Simba to the emergency vet if necessary.

Typically the best pellets are Sherwood, and oxbow. My bunnies don’t like oxbow so I feed Sherwood. Pellets are a small part of diet, I have two dwarf rabbits and they have 1/4 cup of pellets a day. Tons of veggies about 6 cups a day. Another thing is to always have oxbow critical care on hand in case they stop eating or pooping.

    He’s totally adorable!

He could’ve hurt his lip when he fell, but if he’s eating and pooping like normal, I dont think its very worrisome. It’d be good though if you could check his incisors. Maybe someone else could hold him in their lap while you gently lift the lips and have a quick peek? He could’ve broken a piece off of an incisor, and…[Read more]

    Hello everyone,

I have a holland lop named Simba, is a little over six months old. He is super energetic, always jumping, hoping, and chewing his wooden toys (well, okay, sometimes the walls as well). He is roaming free.

Yesterday evening, his upper lip appeared swollen, and I would be tempted to say it appeared after he tried to jump on my bed…[Read more]

What technique or position do you use to hold her, if you don’t mind me asking? Some buns do better with certain holds. Giving an extra special treat after (I use raisins, dried cranberries are also popular!) is also helpful.

Using the bun-rito with a towel can be useful for giving meds with buns that don’t like handling as well (I have to do…[Read more]

I’m so not a winter person! I like winter when there’s plenty of snow and the lakes freeze so you can walk across them,  but that only hsppens here every 10 years. The other nine winters in between are dark, rainy and utterly depressing. (Yes, I know, I chose to be born in the wrong country 😖)

We have lovely weather here today and yesterday I…[Read more]

I so agree about having an abundance of hay (I’ve never used a screen). I get horse hay from a person who grows his own hay for his horses. I get a very good price so I can use it very freely. I do waste a lot, but all the waste hay goes into the garden, in the composts or straight into the pallet collars where I grow vegetables. It helps with the…[Read more]
