You might want to stop giving your bunny broccoli. I’ve read that it’s one of the few veggies that give bunnies indigestion and gas pain. In this case I think the broccoli is what’s triggering the gas especially since last time your bun had an gi episode you happened to him broccoli then too.

Moonshadow replied to the topic BUNNY BROKEN/DISLOCATED TOE in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 1 month ago
Not the same situation but my bunny managed to heal from a broken jaw without surgery. Luckily the two of the three breaks were in places the vet said the muscles would keep in place based on the CT scan. Surgery was an option but we opted not to do it because we thought he’d have a better chance of surviving by healing on his own. We just made s…[Read more]

Oh really? Did your bun have any cast on at all or did you simply let it heal on it’s own like that?

Ok, update on this!
I decided I did want babies because I was really looking forward to the bonding process and their early health needs, as well as watching them grow which was so rewarding to me the first time. I really wanted to find someone I felt good about, cage free or very minimized cage use at home, not breeding bizarre traits outside…[Read more]

No need to delete your post — I’m glad she’s eating!
Rabbits for what can seem like no reason can have smaller bouts of gas (just like humans) that can be self-resolving. If it’s been less than 3 hours since the rabbit was last eating/pooping, you can be on “alert” and treat test, as well as do at-home measures like encouraging movement and…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands replied to the topic Infcol/ Simethicone in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 1 month ago
It indeed depends on the situation. For just gas I’d say: yes it’s effective. It didn’t help when Owen had an actual bout of stasis, then only gut motility drugs and painkillers worked.
Simethicone is also used in human meds for people with bloating. It gathers small gas bubbles and turns them into larger ones which are easier to pass.

Gaah, that’s a real scare! Happy that things still seem alright.
I’d make my boyfriend eat the contents of that litter box if he didn’t clean it on time if I was away 🤬
We change the boxes daily, but I have two bunnies who eat their hay from the box. (Instead of from the gorgeous hay racks that we bought them…)
I use only a small layer of…[Read more]

I dont play Dungeons and Dragons, but I love Stranger Things!
I play QuizDuel and some Scrabble on my phone, plus Wordle and Worldle in bed.
I have a rather stubborn bunny, I find rabbits to be stubborn as a species 🤣 I doubt there are very many un-stubborn buns!

Bam replied to the topic Taking Molly to an expert clinic: hypersexuality, suspected adrenal tumor in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 1 month ago
Goodness, Ellie! So you glad you’ve managed to get her seen! I know adrenal tumors are fairly common in ferrets.
Fingers so crossed the specialist vets will find out whats wrong and hopefully be able to cure it.

Oof, that was a big shock! But at least: it’s someone who knows what he’s talking about!
I’ve been calling vets in our area, but nobody knew what do to with our girl Molly. The vets just looked at each other and went: “But she’s spayed…”. When I asked about getting her hormones tested they answered that that couldn’t be done, and that was…[Read more]

yesterday pumpkin was acting completely fine, doing binkys and all. this morning she ate her breakfast like she was starving (as she always does) and just 1 or 2 hours ago she was begging me for pellets. when i walked into my room a few minutes ago she was in her box all of a sudden (she only goes in there to nap in the middle of the day) and wont…[Read more]

Hi and welcome, Manushi and Mochi! Mochi is super cute!
It can be a bit daunting to take on a rabbit, but that’s why these forums exist. There are so many questions, big and small, that crop up as you go, and its very nice to have other bun humans to discuss things with. I’ve been there myself, when I happened to find a stray rabbit and took him…[Read more]

Welcome to Binkybunny Forums! Unfortunately, this is not an appropriate medium to find a bunnysitter/boarder. I recommend doing web searches of your local CA rabbit rescues and see what they list as petsitting options. Being in California, I’m sure you’ll be able to find someone!
See here for the House Rabbit Society chapters in CA:…[Read more]
