I have 2 males and they do the same thing. I made hideous for them out of Boxes I put their uneaten hay from their hay tray into the boxes and they love it! They sleep on it and eat it.

I was told to sprinkle dried herbs on their hay I have not done that yet.

Microfiber is quite a bit more effective than terry cloth or other towels. I used the type of towels they sell for dogs, they’re really great and not expensive.

All buns have their own personalities, so yes, every method must be adapted to the individual you’re dealing with.

I think it was good that you gave her motility drugs as prescribed. They’re not “strong” drugs, and megacolon buns might need them regularly.

He loves to play but not with any kinda toy. I gave him a cardboard box and he ignored that. I’ve got a lot of work done today more than expected and I think if I carry on persevering tomorrow I can get the yard done so he could be out running about tomorrow. I was just going to back up @DanaNM’s point on the ACV in the water – Freya pees a LOT and the smell is quite strong even now but when she hit puberty the smell would be suffocating as I would try to sleep. It was suggested to me on here to try a bit of ACV in the water and it did help so might be worth a try!
