Small Pet Select is sold online only from their website. I don’t know if they deliver to Canada or not, or how expensive that would be. American Pet Diner is sold at Petco, both online and in stores, if you have those in Canada. It seems like there would be some stores or places in Canada that have second or third cutting timothy hay. I hop…[Read more]

Thanks for all your input! I’m in Canada so some of the brands mentioned are not available. I’m looking for a local farm that offers timothy hay (possibly 2nd cutting) in bales. I spent the whole afternoon looking and didn’t get anywhere!

My bun wastes a LOT of hay too, and what I’ve been doing that helps a little is taking all the wasted hay out of her pen and putting it in a cardboard box. When she comes out of her pen to play she likes to sit in the box and eat. Then when I refill her hay I give her a handful of the old hay and a small amount of new hay sprinkled on top. When I…[Read more]

Is his litter box easy to jump into and “enticing”? I suspect that this is mostly because he isn’t neutered yet, but you can encourage him to use his box my making it “appealing”. Carefresh litter is really popular for litter training because it’s soft. Adding a nice fluffy hay layer on top and only providing hay in the litter boxes also helps…[Read more]

It’s good if you can catch him “in the act” and put him in the box. Adding another litterbox could lead to him choosing that one over the cage one, but I still think it could be a good idea. My bun has 3 litterboxes around the apartment, but she has one that she favors.
He could very well be marking outside the cage just because it is outside the…[Read more]

Besides orchard grass and meadow hay which are softer and sweeter hays, you may want to try different cuttings of timothy hay. Small Pet Select has second and third cuttings of timothy hay which are softer than first cutting, which is usually just labeled timothy hay. They also have a new ultra premium soft timothy hay, but it is more…[Read more]

Hello! I am a new bunny owner and any guidance would be much appreciated. I brought home a male bunny a little over two weeks ago, then just over three months old. He’s about 95% on using his litter box within his cage. When I’m home/awake, he also has access to a small space outside his cage. My plan was to gradually keep expanding that spa…[Read more]

Very cute! My first foster attempt, Chihuahua mix, lasted about two hours and then we knew he was home.

She is a cutey, for all her bunstruction. I forgot about the loveseat damage! Then again, Clover had already mangled it already, so….After Clover, 4 kids, Dawn, and so on, the loveseat was pretty much trashed already. Bunny slaves aren’t allowed to have nice things, lol.
She’s about 5 lbs. I guess, and she’s clearly got some Dutch in her, bu…[Read more]

Bladesmith, she’s beautiful! And how lovely she and Loki get along! He seems like such a loving guy.
I’m sorry she’s done so much bunstruction, bu I know you know quite a lot about that from long before she arrived. My bun ate her way through my mum’s sofa last summer, which was slightly embarassing 😬

But I dood it. Several weeks ago, my vets office called me to tell me that the local rescue was getting 2 rabbits for every one they could foster or adopt out, and would I consider fostering?
Well, you guys know me, I can’t say no to a rabbit in need. So I said yeah, I’d take one for a while. So I ended up with this little, tiny footed, ba…[Read more]

Is there a roof? If not you could make one with storage cube grids.
Can you post a picture of the set up? that might help us give some other ideas.

Very wise to call the NHS, I think! I’m glad your breathing has improved, but it sounds like you might have a fever?
You should probably try to eat something, to get some strenght.

Thanks for the advice people its much appreciated.
I’m feeling weak right now and dizzy and my head is pounding. I had a better night last night and was able to get sleep. I can breath easy now and the chest pains have eased off, I just don’t have the energy to go out to see a doctor. If its Covid then that could make things complicated. I need…[Read more]
