It’s possible. The new bed is something “strange” that was introduced into her territory. That “new” smell might be setting her off too.

Hey! Just an idea for this topic. My little boy always “surprise” me while he is mad at me! For example, he don’t realy like the car rides, but sometimes I have to take him, cause I have no one else to take care of him… and when we get home, OMG. Now he was mad at me cause the Kale wasn’t fresh as he normaly get it! When I got home from Work, he…[Read more]

It does seem she’s on the mend!
It’s good to administer probiotics a few hours before or after antibiotics. Some probiotics are resistant to most antibiotics, but spacing the doses is still a good precaution. There is some evidence that keeping up the probiotics for like a week after the course of antibiotics can be highly beneficial…[Read more]

Thanks for responding to my post so quickly. I’ve had my mom keep a close eye on her today and she has reported that Nala has been eating, moving around, her ears are room temperature, and she has been using the restroom regularly. She is drinking water out of a small ceramic bowl (I watched her drink out of it for several minutes yesterday a…[Read more]

Okay that’s what I was thinking 😊 I did explain to my daughter that he is telling her to stop.
usually I’m right there but I stepped out of the room and she told me the bunny was making a weird noise and she said it sounded like he was tooting. So I had her show me what she was doing with the bunny when he did that and he did it again and tha…[Read more]

Lol yes, a silver lining in an otherwise very frustrating situation.

I think you should supervise closely to see if you can get a better read on the situation. It sounds like your bun is telling your 6 year old that he feels threatened and to “back off”, so you should teach your child that when bun makes that noise, it means to stop petting. This is usually more likely to happen if the petting is happening within…[Read more]

Agree with Bam that syringe feeding, warmth, and pain meds are very important. It’s good that she started eating a bit on her own, but I would still syringe feed if she isn’t eating 100% normally.

Yay for cookies!
I’m honestly not sure on the amount, but I think if you aim for around a tablespoon or two of critical care per day, that’s probably a good amount for just supplemental feeding. If he starts eating less hay then you’ll know to scale it back.

That is very strange (especially concerning the hay and the litter box)! But glad you at least got the revolution prescription!

I just got back from an appointment with a new vet and she did give me a prescription for Revolution but I’m not a fan of things she was telling me. She told me not to use pine pellets as litter because it’s toxic to them even though I told her it’s safe and not the pine shavings, she kept repeating that it’s toxic and not to use it. Then she tol…[Read more]
