I was thinking more like some kind of congenital defect. Perhaps there is a kink in the sinus that allows bacteria to accumulate. I’m just wondering because I dealt with chronic sinus issues before. Biopsy came back yesterday. The result was trichoblastoma, which I guess is a benign skin tumor. I’m just relieved it’s not something worse.

We haven’t had x-rays or scans done. I truly thought we were done with this after months of antibiotics and then about 10 months of no symptoms. Then wham! So fast it’s back.

What about one of those neck rolls instead of a traditional cone?

I imagine she is picking at it because it itches or her fur is stuck in the scab and it pulls. This will make them want to mess with it. Where is the wound exactly? I’m wondering if there is a way to keep it moist so it isn’t itchy. Or maybe the vet can shave around it to her fur…[Read more]

Yeah like it looks like they aren’t trying too. They do it drinking water, eating laying down. I don’t think it’s voluntary.

What do you mean by twitching? Do you mean it looks like it’s involuntary?

Have they done any x-rays or scans? Perhaps she just has a defect in her sinus cavity.

There’s no sign of swelling, pimples, lesions, sores.
