I’d wait until tomorrow when you can send the photos to your vet.

If you decide to remove the cone, do it temporarily, for when you can watch her. Cleaning herself is ok, vigourously pulling at and chewing the nether regions is not ok.

She is not on an antibiotic and they told me to keep her cone on I’m worried she will chew the incision. So she hasn’t been able to clean the area, should I let her?

The photos don’t look overly concerning to me, but it is hard to tell with the black fur growing in around the area. Hopefully she can clean the poop off herself. Is she on an antibiotic? I would think so since her uterus was infected. If she is, then I wouldn’t worry too much about the incision becoming infected.

Sending pics to the vet is definitely the best call. As long as there wasn’t an enormous amount of mushy poo, she can likely clean herself and you won’t need to worry about it. Since her functioning seems fine, that’s a very positive sign, but getting the green check mark from the vet after showing pics would be best!

It does look like its mushy poop, but I too would be reluctant to clean it since its so close to the spay incision, without consluting with my vet first.

Hopefully you can contact your vet first thing Monday morning and maybe email them the pix?

It’s great that she’s eating and doesnt appear to be in any pain!

I agree this looks like a bit more than “just” the typical cataracts you see in (virtually all) aging pets.

Hmm… just looking at the photo, I’d say that is more than just old age. Cataracts caused by age tend to be the posterior kind. Have you had his eye pressure checked? Cataracts like that can lead to glaucoma.
