It’s very stressful not being able to find a vet! I hope you are able to see one though to rule out other causes.
Keep in mind that panacur can take a while to work and the course is 28 days. Vets will often prescribe an anti-inflammatory along with it for the first couple weeks because some of the EC symptoms can be due to inflammation.

Brownie passed away yesterday morning at around 7am. We were feeding her pellets as usual but she choked on one and couldn’t breathe. I had school that day, and couldn’t follow her to the vet. She died on the way to the vet, but my mom said she was still finding my mom during the last few minutes of her life.
She was only 5, and I was still…[Read more]

No none. I ordered pancur from Amazon. It should be here today. I have two farm stores + two agway and they don’t have it. I’m calling another vet tomorrow in Ohio, figured one day can make a difference. I’m so upset that I’m angry. She is still pretty mobile like this is normal in some weird way to her. Eating, loving her boo boo kitty, sitting…[Read more]

I agree. You don’t want whatever it is to migrate further inside.

Vertical (up/down) nystagmus tends to be associated with EC. Is she exhibiting any other symptoms? Seizures? Incontinence?

I’m just…. Ugh, vets!! About two hours ago Mabel started to tilt her head like she had an ear itch. I noticed that her eyes track from bottom to top. She has a vet appointment we’d, hmmm going to blow off grandma’s colonoscopy. Called the bunny lady I got her from and no real info but the vet said if she’s eating, drinking.. bla bla… right now s…[Read more]

Hmmm, I’m thinking this should prob be a vet visit, to prevent it from migrating further up there and becoming a larger problem.

There is something up both of my bun’s nostrils 😥 She has kaytee clean and cozy bedding, and I think she might have inhaled a piece up each nostril. I don’t know what else it could be – she doesn’t have any signs of illness. If I shine the flashlight on my phone, I could see the pieces. I tried very gently tickling her nose with a soft piece…[Read more]

Thank you for all the help. That is very concerning. Her lump is coming from within from what I saw, nothing is really visible on the surface. Unfortunately, I don’t really have any rabbit rescue centers near me but I’ll try my best to get her to a specialist somehow.

Is the lump near the surface on her abdomen? It could be a mammary tumor. Reproductive cancers in unspayed females is common, but it isn’t limited to just uterine cancer. I agree with Dana that the other symptoms are concerning.
Do you have a rabbit shelter/rescue nearby? Perhaps they would know of some resources to help with vet bills.

I don’t know why but I forgot about that! (I did it for them before and they loved it, maybe my brain was blocking that out to try something new? I dunno;) I did it with them today and within an hour they had the bags destroyed! Blossom somehow had Thumper’s bag, which was half ripped and still had hay in it. Thank you for the suggestion!

DanaNM replied to the topic trying to figure out the cause of recurring gas episodes in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years ago
Agree with @LBJ10, an elimination diet should help you determine if it’s diet-related. Some buns are really sensitive to things that normally don’t cause issues.
Has she had her teeth checked? Sometimes bun have a molar spur that hurts them enough to cause pain and some GI slowing, which then causes gas. If nothing in the diet seems to be a…[Read more]
