My dysbiosis bunny eats dried herbs as treats, like sage, mint, dried bunny safe flowers and his favorite, dandelion greens. You can buy them in bulk and a couple of 1 lb bags of herbs should last you a while. This has low to no sugar in it and hopefully would clear up the issue without depriving them completely of treats 🙂

I know this is an old thread, but I am having the exact same problem with my bunny. She wakes me up 4am on the dot. Regardless of if she has food or not. It’s so frustrating.

This time of year (if you’re in the Northern hemisohere), dawn occurs around 3-4. Your bun probably considers 4 am morning and high time for mom to get out of bed.

I had the consult with the bonding specialist yesterday and I think it was helpful! She thinks that working with them in pairs is the way to go, and recommended doing short sessions as often as possible. I think that will work out well! And def use the most neutral space possible for bonding, ideally somewhere out of sight and smell range of their home turf.

Remember to aim to have sessions end on a good note, even if that means the sessions are shorter.

You can keep feeding the young bunny pellets for a little longer. But definitely start giving a smaller portion. It will probably be easier to reduce the amount first, then transition to the adult pellet.

Thank you! I imagine my bunnies would similarly be unhappy in a wet bin. How did your bun do with the hair dryer? I feel like it’s quite noisy and would maybe spook them.

Personally, I have had better luck with a handheld shower head. I would place a towel in the bottom of the bathtub, prop bunny up with one hand under his chest, then use the shower head with the spray turned way down to wet just his butt.
