Is Noel your only rabbit or is there another rabbit Noel interacts with? If there is another rabbit, this is something commonly seen when one rabbit is ripping off the fur of another, specifically during humping, and is a sign that these rabbits should be separated. You can review proper bonding procedures here:…[Read more]

Hello friends, was recently grooming my bunny Noel when I noticed a patch of exposed skin that looked reddish and irritated. It doesn’t look like it’s bleeding but it may be some sort of open sore? Should I take my rabbit to the vet, apply some sort of cream or disinfectant? Thank you in advanced

The cautionary approach would be to take both rabbits to the vet for a thorough physical exam– sometimes things can be easily missed w/ all their fur and fluff, and also a very common mechanism for rabbits is to act “normal” when they are injured (personally one of my rabbits broke his toe, literally two pieces of bone, and acted completely…[Read more]

I accidentally left the area between where my sister keeps her rabbit (Minty) and I keep my rabbit (Archie) unblocked, and they got into a fight. Luckily my sister saw almost right away, but her rabbit (while being very sweet with humans and children) is very aggressive where other rabbits are involved. Minty is completely uninjured, not fazed in…[Read more]

I called around Waco vets and they never heard of the TURR rehabilitation. It’s listed on Google as the top rehabilitation in Waco but all the comments are just from fans of the YouTube. There are no accounts of using its service. However, I called the Humane Society of Waco and they had also never heard of it. I asked the director if they would l…[Read more]

Thanks for your perspective. I’ll be getting a stuffy and try and resist the 4th as long as possible. I do spend at least a couple hours a day down with them so hopefully that is enough.
Yeah, I don’t think fostering is for me, I don’t like the idea that they may go somewhere where they don’t have as much as I give them. lol. I think I could…[Read more]

As for glaucoma in buns, one of our old members (Asriel&Bombur) use latanaprost eyedrops for her ec bun who has cataracts that lead to glaucoma. They do the job, he gets 2 drops twice per day and his pressure is down from 40 to 25 (should ideally be 20).

Most things buns ingest do pass through because they chew their food (and non food) into very fine bits. They can swallow big chunks of things like dogs do.
If he’s eating and drinking and acting normal tomorrow as well I think he’s out of the woods. Most buns do get into non-food items now and then and there’s rarely a problem. But you can of…[Read more]
