mschoonover11 started the topic Ideas on how to entertain your bunny in the forum BEHAVIOR 8 years, 6 months ago
Hello.
So now that I’m starting to spend more time with my bunny, I would like to have some ideas on what to do to entertain him and bond with him.
I know bunnies like everything cardboard so any toy ideas or toytutorials would be great
I built him this cardboard box with holes in it and I put treats in there, but he showed no interest. I even…[Read more] -
Kristen started the topic How Long for Incision to Heal Fully? in the forum DIET & CARE 8 years, 6 months ago
How long does it take for a rabbit’s incision to be fully healed after a spay surgery?
My lionhead girl Luna is one week post-op, and is also a picker/chewer. She’s currently wearing the sleeve of one of my shirts around her middle to prevent her from opening herself up. I’m not sure when it’s safe to take it off. I tried a few days ago, and…[Read more] -
BACielto started the topic Apple Cider Vinegar… in the forum DIET & CARE 8 years, 7 months ago
So, my bunns love the taste of a little ACV in their water and it has a ton of great health benefits. I wondering, though, if I could safely give them a little treat in the form of blueberry and honey flavored ACV. It’s fully organic and natural and it would just be a tiny bit in the water but, I know, they shouldn’t ingest too much sugar.

Harley&Thumper started the topic Breaking up a bonded trio in the forum BONDING 8 years, 7 months ago
The shelter I work at has a bonded trio that is up for adoption. I don’t think it is very likely that one person will adopt all three of them at the same time. If they do that’s great but I’m not holding my breath. My question is, what can I do to try and prepare the rabbits for when they get separated. Should I introduce a stuffy that the 3 of…[Read more]

potatotot started the topic Bunny always trying to escape! in the forum BEHAVIOR 8 years, 8 months ago
Hi there, Potato is a five month old unneutered (his surgery date is in March) male, and he is always trying to escape his playpen. Potato stays in my relatively large bedroom, and I block off a good amount of space for him. He has enough room to run around, binky, and play with toys. He also has a lot of toys and cardboard boxes, yet he is always…[Read more]

Bunny Bride started the topic Maropitant for stasis? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 8 years, 8 months ago
Just wondering if anyone is familiar with Maropitant to treat stasis? My rabbit was progressing in stasis recovery, but not as fast as the vet would like so they switched us to subq fluid and meds over oral. Along with metacam & metoclopramide, they now added a new anti nausea med called Maropitant to help him eat more. I can’t find much info o…[Read more]

I have had my two buns for about a year. They are friends through their x-pens so I started bonding this past week. We did about 4 short sessions in the laundry basket. Does anyone know where I can get bulk timothy hay that isn’t Standlee brand. We have 1 Giant Flemish rabbit and 6 guinea pigs. We go through hay really fast. We had Standlee Timothy hay and our rabbit got sick from it. We switched to Kaytee brand and he is better, but it is so pricey when you go through it so fast.
