<p style=”text-align: left;”>She’s only got her nails cut 2 times ever, one time I tried to cut it but I think I dislocated her finger, she hopped off and ran away, so I was probably just paranoid. After that I’m too scared to cut her nails anymore. Her nails are way too long and I’m so afraid it will break, I’ve tried everyday for a week to cut…[Read more]

Thank you so much for all your help and replies. I will definitely keep an eye on it and checking and measuring it everyday. It has been one week since the day i noticed it on my baby and thankfully it is exactly the same. I hope everything will be under control. She is a very sensitive bunny and an operation would be a risk for her. I have…[Read more]

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses! 🙂 I really do appreciate it. She’s doing better now- she’s been slowly eating more and more hay every day, especially since I mixed oaten and timothy hay. So I’ve slowed down and stopped with critical care. My vet said that apparently, critical care may cause poo to become smaller sometimes (I wonder why?).…[Read more]

A CBC is very useful. It is a very good diagnostic tool for rabbits and will pick up on many things that could be wrong. Hopefully theres no fully developped ulceration with actual bleeding. Both sucralfate and ranitidine are commonly prescribed to prevent full blown ulceration, although there doesnt seem to be scientific support that concomitant…[Read more]

Are you pulling pulling? Or just giving a gentle tug? Both of mine always seemed to like it when I massaged/petted their ears. Then I would end by circling both ears together with my thumb and index finger, giving a little tug at the base of the ears before slipping my hand off the ends of the ears. I think of it as a modified T-Touch. There are…[Read more]

Oh dear! I’m so sorry this happened. Any updates? What you do moving forward will depend on how he is doing. Individuals can react differently. If his seizures are not too bad and he improves with medication, then I think that would be a good sign for continuing supportive care. Unfortunately, that is all that can be done once it is in their…[Read more]

That’s a good point BB. If it grows quickly or there are other changes, then removing it would definitely be more urgent.

Yes, the corn salad is that type of leaves, sorry for the confusion it created!

What other vegetable do you recommend me to change it for?

Thank you all for your replies 😊

She might be a mix of an English spot.  That’s great  you will be getting her from a rescue because they will definitely be able to tell you more about her personality.

She is beautiful! It will be interesting when you find out more about her.   Let us know!

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Ollie has Ringworm – Advice needed! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 5 months ago

I think it’s wise that @jerseygirl brought up the idea of both conditions (mites and fungal infection) complementing each other. If one condition is stressing the rabbit’s system, it is more prone to contract the other condition because it is slightly weakened. For example, it was not until my Wick contracted ringworm (the post that you were…[Read more]

If it is as @jerseygirl and @LBJ10 describe, it could absolutely be a diuretic effect. I know I cannot feed one of my rabbits parsley because it makes him pee so much. It may be worthwhile to eliminate or reduce it from his diet to see if there is a difference.

I have had bunnies who have benign growths and another more recently where the growth was very fast and it was cancerous.  I agree that keeping an eye on it would be a good way to go.  You could measure it now and then measure again in a week.   The growth that my bunny had grew larger within days, so it was very aggressive and hard to miss.  Look…[Read more]

Their ears are made of very sensitive skin, so it’s natural that there is discomfort and pain when they are pulled. I would advise against the pulling motion. What you mention though, in terms of the rubbing, is something I am familiar with. One of my rabbits, in what seems to be as automatic as a reflex, will begin licking his paws when I…[Read more]

I heard that usually rabbits don’t like their ears to be pulled but my rabbit likes it when I do it gently. And she likes it when her ears to be rubbed.
