I let him out whenever I’m in the room, he gets around 4 hours of playtime.

They are all siblings, and they get along well at times, but the dominant one, whose name is Silver, keeps biting the other ones. When I catch her biting them I tell her “no” and tap her nose lightly. But other times I poke my head in there and they’re all sleeping side by side looking so happy to be with each other. At one point during Silver’s…[Read more]

Sounds like he wants more play time. How much time does he get out of the pen?

What Dana said. There’s nothing you can do other than separate them, then have them all spayed. After that you can try to bond them.

Bam replied to the topic Rabbit ate rubber bracelet in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
Bunnies sometimes eat the weirdest things. I had a bun who ate part of a hot water bottle and, at another time, half a rubber cat toy. The good thing is that rabbits tend to chew whatever they eat very well. They cant swallow big chunks of things like cats and dogs do. This makes intestinal obstruction less likely.
The recommendation is to try…[Read more]

I was busy getting some last minute assignments done for school, so I was a little bit later than usual to feed the bunnies. When I was preparing their food I realized one of my buns had something in her litter box so I went to check it out. It was a rubber bracelet, the wider ones you get at hot topic that emo kids wear. The bracelet was all…[Read more]

Bunnie2020 replied to the topic Dwarf lop or mini lop? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
So is he a dwarf mini lop haha,
I asked another forum page and I got told that he is a dwarf. Because of his face isn’t as flat as a mini lop. And because he is big compared to a mini lop.
So they said they think he is a cross bread of a dwarf lop with some lionhead

my rabbit has the same problem and I play with him and give him plenty of toys but he still shakes the bars of his ex-pen when he is in it. maybe try giving him more play time? I’m not sure why they do that though

You were right, her behavior today is completely different. We had to give her some formula so we decided to pick her up for the first time and take her out of the cage. We put blankets all over the floor and put her down. And weirdly she became so much friendlier. She didn’t mind being pet at all and she even crawled on my lap. We’ve now tak…[Read more]

lately, my bun has been chewing and pushing his xpen bars out of place. Is this a boredom behavior? does he need new chews? i give him chew sticks and toss toys and he has lots to play and chew. Does he need more free roam time?

He has all of his resources in the pen but has hidey boxes and toys outside of it.

I think giving both yourself and him the most time possible with supervised free roam time to figure out what sort of behaviors might crop up that haven’t before is important. Also, if you typically let him out at certain times of day, try different times to see what he decides to do. From my experience, once the rabbit finds its niche spot for…[Read more]

My bunny lives in an xpen with free roam time during the day, and I would like to be able to free-roam him all day as long as I’m at home and put him into his pen when I leave the house and during the night. I will have to exchange my shag rug for something harder for him to chew so when I’m not watching him he won’t ingest the plastic. I’m a…[Read more]

He sure sounds cute!
You might hit a grace period where he doesn’t poop everywhere so much but usually that goes out the window when they hit “puberty”. That’s when owners often have to restrict where they go for the time being. At one time, I had 4 male foster rabbits in pens side-by-side and I had to wash the walls once they’d all gone to h…[Read more]

Ok, a new rug seems like a good idea. Happy to know he’s just being energetic. He’s not afraid of wood flooring which is pretty lucky, but I don’t want him sliding around so I will get a new rug or mat to fill up some more floor space.
