That’s great! It’s so much less stressful when you can get meds into them without force!
I remember one med that I had to give a very sick bun and the vet had compounded it to taste so good that he nearly yanked the syringe out of my hand!

That’s great!
Before you try the straight banana, try mashing some some into the critical care as a mush and see if she will eat that off a spoon or a plate.
Not seeing as much pee means she may be a bit dehydrated, so try to encourage water drinking (check out my post about hay tea above in the thread).
I know it’s so stressful to give it, but…[Read more]

You guys probably already know about this, but I noticed some threads getting pretty long, yet all of the posts are on the same page. Meaning, the thread isn’t being divided up into different pages. For example, 13Tskhmaster’s thread “Why is my Medically Healthy Rabbit not Eating or Pooping?” in Behavior.

Around 4:30 PM (it’s 6:23 PM where I am, now), in addition to the six-eight pieces of cilantro Hunny ate for my sister, she ate another seven-10 for my mother! We’ve tried offering Hunny parsley and cilantro on-and-off ever since, and she doesn’t seem interested. My guess is her little belly’s full, so I’m not too worried. Our plan is if Hunny…[Read more]

Here’s an update: I haven’t been able to hold him like the vet showed, he keeps hopping away, but I did finally listen to you guys and mix it with some mashed banana. He ate it in about 5 seconds! Thank you all so much for the advice! I’m going to start giving him more fruits and veggies because he LOVES them.

he tends to run away when I enter the room, and then he usually just comes back to me. I assume he is just startled by my presence but comes back when he realizes it’s me.

Louiethebunny replied to the topic strange litter accident in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
yes, he’s eating and drinking normally, the pooping on the bed is probably just territorial marking because it’s new to him and probably has a very strong “me” scent. I also think it couldve been the fact that he things any soft area is a litter box. sometimes he does poop outside of the litter box when it is getting a little soiled and it is time…[Read more]

The red and blue residue sounds like a rea tion to the vinegar. You can try to recreate it by dripping vinegar on a pee stain and monitor how the color changes. Red is not abnormal for bun pee, but I’ve never come across blue rabbit pee.
It seems like your bun was overcome with an urge to pee- and bookmark his territory starting with the most…[Read more]

EXCITING UPDATE ALERT:Â My mother just told me Hunny ate six-eight pieces of fresh cilantro without any of those chewing problems! I didn’t see it for myself but wish I did. Hunny hasn’t done what my mom described since the other night, when I helped her pass that gas! So proud of my girl 😃😃😃

I know Dorian often get’s spooked when I go in the room, he usually then makes his way back if I call him or he realizes it’s me and not some big monster. He does sometimes do some excited running into his tunnels, which feel more like showing off, he really likes an audience 😀 He tends to turn and make sure I am watching and then run back and…[Read more]

Update: my baby seems to be okay I think it was just a little bit of a scare and because I’m such a paranoid bunny mom that I always just fear for the worst. You just never know what’s going to happen so once again thank you very much for all of the knowledge and advice that was given to me last night, it was definitely a very scary experience and…[Read more]
