Ditto, Kata! I have exactly the same problem with Binki. She is 1 year and a 12, and she isn’t spayed yet. She used to be a very good litter trainer, but she suddenly stopped one day. She literally poops and pees everywhere in my room. I had to keep changing my bed covers, and washing my rugs twice a day.

I don’t use bedding or litter (as it’s…[Read more]

Last night was interesting. Hunny didn’t really eat anything apart from a few nibbles of banana, but she played the hay tunnel in her cage for the first time since she got sick! She took some sips of water and may have had some nibbles of her hay cube. I can’t be sure because I was composing a document to show the vet tomorrow, and I only heard…[Read more]

Hi! I’m bringing my bunny to an event. We’ll be meeting with patients with genetic diseases and she’ll be there as a sort of “Dr Rabbit” to cheer them up. She’s a very friendly rabbit who is used to human touch so I’m not too worried about her being frightened.

However, I am worried about her having accidents so I don’t really want to let her run…[Read more]

I don’t use any bedding except the litter tray, there is only a blanket inside. Do you think I should take out the blanket as well? + To be honest he is not at all active which is kind of another thing I’m a bit worried about  however vet said he is fine. Even if he is out he’s not really jumping or exercising only lying and sleeping. Just from…[Read more]

I think for now it would be better for your frustration levels to get hold of and excercise pen and attach that to his cage. Line the floor in the pen with something that is easy to clean up. I’d recommend even using a set up like this for a few weeks after he is neutered.

Are you using bedding in his cage as well as a litter box & litter? If s…[Read more]

Thanks for the replies! It very well could be a territory issue… 😕 Awman!

How long have you been in your new place? I agree it sounds territorial, maybe from traveling so much and being in a lot of new homes?

I brought him with me on vacation since early February of this year and has since stayed, even when I went to the city to pack all my…[Read more]

Hi guys! I have a big problem with litter training my 17 months old male rabbit. I have Bruce for two weeks and he had two different owners before me. He’s not neutered yet, I’m waiting for the visit on 25th but until then I really don’t know what to do.

So far he is a big trouble because he clearly thinks carpet in my room is his litter box a…[Read more]

Thanks Dana! Please see the template below 🙂

I have had another session today with just the two lops (so the two that have had the most fights). This was a little better, although there was a very tiny hiccup which was stopped. The problem being, she tries to get very close to him, and she will bury her head under his stomach. He will then do a…[Read more]

I agree with what everyone has said, and I do sympathise with you. It’s always scary when your bun is having any sort of procedure. I dont think the risk of sth really bad happening during a neuter of a young bun is as high as 1% tbh. It’s still scary though, just because we love them so much 💗

If she has trouble chewing hay, you could cut it up into smaller pieces. You can also soak hay to soften it, but if you do, the hay should be replaced often because wet hay spoils quickly.

To make hay more appetizing you can sprinkle herbs on top.

If she hasn’t bothered to go “downstairs” to pee in her box, I’d say that is another sign that she…[Read more]

I have Vetbed mats for my rabbit. (Vetbed is a brand but there are other similar products). They are sold for dogs, but they’re very good for buns too. They’re anti-slip and soft and I’ve washed mine innumerable times.

To be honest, I love bath mat rugs. They sell some nice bath rugs in IKEA. I use them for my bunny, and they seem to work beautifully for her hocks, and since they are machine washable, they’re easy to just pop into the washing machine. Try and Google IKEA mats, and maybe they’ll come up. Also, a lot of bunny owners use outdoor mats, because…[Read more]
