Hazel – Same here. I guess I’m just not that important…..
Who am I kidding? I was never that important!
I will be out and about this week. There is field work to be done. It’s supposed to be hot, sunny and breezy. Not looking forward to it. I’m not really sure what happened. May was unseasonably cold and wet… then BAM! It’s been nearly…[Read more]

I’m not sure about retailers in Australia, but if you search online usually in the US you can get decent x-pens for about $30-40. If you look for the kind meant for dogs they are more sturdy. Between 30-36″ tall is usually good for most bunnies, as long as you’re aware of possible escape routes, as Louie mentioned! Also consider how big your dogs…[Read more]

FluffyBunny replied to the topic Super nervous for neuter in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years, 4 months ago
Neutering isn’t so bad! 🙂 When I got mine neutered, he was about 4 months old. It took about 4 hours. The surgery itself only took around a half hour, then they kept him in a kennel for a few hours. He was a bit groggy and stumbled a bit when I got him back, and it took him around a half day to get back to normal. He was eating veggies by the end…[Read more]

Echo what’s been said already, male-male bonds are totally possible once everyone is neutered. Once he’s healed from his neuter and his hormones have had some time to drain you can start working on their bond. If things seem a little crazy with them at first he might need more time for his hormones to settle down.

As big as you can fit 🙂 the side linked above would be fine if they’re allowed to free roam, otherwise it would be really small.

Business is slow but I’m back to working a couple of days per week. I hate it though, it’s so hot. Oscar doesn’t seem to care one way or the other.

pinkiemarie replied to the topic ex pen size in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
A cage like you normally see at a pet store is way too small for one rabbit, let alone two. They are very playful and active. They like to zoom around and jump straight up in the air, stretch out, etc. It’s also very important for then to run around because they excrete calcium through their urine (humans and dogs poop excess calcium so this is…[Read more]

So here’s what happened with my boys. Your mileage may vary. They had a love at first sight bond and it was beautiful! Then the younger of the two (he’s only about 6 months younger and the older was already neutered) got hormonal and mean. Lots of humping and ripped quite a bit of hair off his poor big brother. My vet was ok with neutering him at…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Bonding a Trio – Fights in the forum BONDING 6 years, 4 months ago
Oh my gosh they are cuties!
I think you hit on a good strategy. Any session where they don’t fight is a good one. When she comes and buries her head under him, she might be asking for grooms (although a bit unconventionally), so those times are when you should pet pet pet them both to keep everyone calm. I think continuing cage/litter box swaps…[Read more]

Can you get a rug for your floor? Even if that isn’t the cause of the sore hocks most bunnies don’t really like walking on tile and she’ll probably be happier if she has a rug to hang out on.

@binkithecutebunny  Are you planning to get her spayed? Jerseygirl’s advice to OP applies to you as well. Unneutered/unspayed rabbits are prone to marking their territory and have much worse litter habits.
Spaying is also important to prevent reproductive cancers in females.
