He is beautiful! And he does resemble a cinnamon bun 😃

My rabbit is a single bun, if he’s licking me does that mean he’s lonely?? I’m reading this thread and now I’m worried my bun is too lonely even though I give him lots of love and attention when he wants it.

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Why is my Medically Healthy Rabbit not Eating or Pooping? in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 3 months ago
Especially when my Wick was younger, I’d say his energy level had more to do with his eating than how full/hungry he was, haha. A common sentiment I express is the idea of food security — when an animal understands that it will have a stable food source, it is less likely to eat immediately and with as much haste. There are many stories of…[Read more]

@Hazel – The specialists we’ve seen aren’t making a big deal about the misalignment. They’re more concerned about deeper issues like EC. I would hope if the misalignment were so bad the teeth had to come out, they would have told us. Maybe we’ll reach that point (I hope not), but we’re not there yet.
As far as the Critical Care, the taste doesn’t…[Read more]

How often is the critical care feeding schedule at this point? Part of me wonders if some of the food disinterest may come from carryover satiation from critical care? Maybe?

Don’t worry about the teeth filing, even if they did it too short, they always grow back. However, if they’re so badly misaligned that she can’t chew even with them filed down, they would have to be removed. That’s really the only thing I can think of that might be keeping her from eating at this point, other than pain. I don’t know what dosage of…[Read more]

His belly is the same pattern as the rest of him but a bit lighter, he does have a few small white bits here and there like the tips of his paws and under his eye- you can see the other side of his face in my profile pic 🙂
I named him cinnamon because he looks like a cinnamon bun 🙂

Looking good! Choosing to be by each other a lot by the looks. 🙂
I agree not to worry to much about reciprocal grooming. It could change after they’re completely bonded. It did with Jersey and Rumball, my first pair. Or Wick might never take to it but remember, the groomer gets something out of it also. Some rabbits like to groom & lick things a…[Read more]

jerseygirl replied to the topic Does anyone have interlocking floor mats for their buns living space? in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 6 years, 3 months ago
I have! And I’m shocked they haven’t tried destroy them yet. (I hope I don’t jinx it)
The mats had a smell so I put them outside to air for a day which helped. They’re not providing traction like I hoped but the buns appear to like to sit on them. I washed the surface last night because whenever i walked on them in shoes, I found I slipped…[Read more]

@LBJ10 –Â I hope you’re right about the thinning patch on Hunny’s ear. I did see a tiny black dot through the fur; could be a scab or something from where an IV was injected. Why would it be placed there, though? Will the fur grow back? We have tried giving Hunny pellets in a dish, but she isn’t interested. Aside from the fleshy parts of apples…[Read more]

I was going suggest flea comb also. With the fur short, you might have luck getting them. If you’re looking to get a spot on treatment from the vet, he might not need a consult. They could sell you some Advantage or Revolution at the front desk.
I wasn’t certain if advantage II was okay so I’m glad Hazel mentioned it. I believe you can get that a…[Read more]

Advantage has been my go-to for a long time, but unfortunately it seems to have lost it’s effectiveness over the last couple of years. I guess it depends on where you live and how immune your local flea population has become so it might still work for you. Revolution is another good one but you need a prescription for that, and I’m not sure how…[Read more]

It’s good his neuter will be soon. It does sound as if his little body is brimming with testosterone.
It might remain that way for a week or 2 after the op but then hopefully you’ll start to see him came down. Try not to feel bad about his being in the pen more. Some owners have to do that when their “teen” buns litter habits go awol. It’s on…[Read more]

Aww he looks so sweet lying there.
His coat colour/pattern is called Japanese harlequin. There is also a harlequin breed of rabbit but the colouration can occur in other breeds also.

Hello, here is Cinnamon on his blanket. I was wondering if someone could tell me what coat type he has, I don’t know much about coats only that patterns and colours have different names. Could someone identify his coat type? He’s 3/4 Netherlands Dwarf and 1/4 something unknown. Both his parents had light brown coats with no patterns, I hope that…[Read more] -
